Where is # 1 cylinder located on a 2008 Hyundai Tucson
The location of the number 1 cylinder in a 2008 Hyundai Tucson is determined by the engine type and layout.
Hyundai Tucson 2008 models comes with 2 different engine types :
- 2.0L I4 engine
- 2.7L V6 engine
In both engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2, and the cylinder layout is inline or straight.
The cylinder layout of the 2008 Hyundai Tucson with 2.0L I4 engine is inline 4-cylinder, meaning that the cylinders are arranged in a line, one after the other. In this configuration, the number 1 cylinder is typically located at the front of the engine, on the driver's side.
The cylinder layout of the 2008 Hyundai Tucson with 2.7L V6 engine is V6 engine, meaning that the cylinders are arranged in a "V" shape. In this configuration, the number 1 cylinder is typically located at the front of the engine, on the driver's side, and it's the first cylinder on the left bank.

If I change the head and valves on a Hyundai H1 must you put a computer on the car to reset a code?
That will be the least of your problems. If you are removing the head and replacing the valves you will be disconnecting the battery and that erases all the codes. Your biggest issue to get right is the camshaft valve timing. This is a big job for an experienced home mechanic, and is not for the faint of heart. Think carefully if you are up to this task, I have serious doubts that you are. First job is to get a Service Manual and read it cover to cover. Then you need a full set of open ended and ring wrenches, a full metric socket set and a Torque Wrench. Then you will need to hire some tools, a Camshaft locking kit, and a Valve spring compressor to remove the valve collets. You need a full head gasket kit and some gasket sealing compound. Then with new valves you will need a hand held valve grinding tool (a wooden dowel with a rubber suction cup on each end) and a tub of coarse and fine grinding paste (double ended container). You could just remove the head, take it to an engineering company and say '"fix that please". You fail to tell us whey you think you need to undertake this task?
How do I tune in the stations in my Hyundai HM-5064 CD Tuner?
- Turn on the CD tuner by pressing the power button.
- Enter your code numbers to unlock the device if it's necessary.
- Use the tuning buttons to navigate to the AM or FM radio band.
- Use the seek or manual tuning buttons to find the desired station.
- Once you find the desired station, press and hold the preset button to save it to a specific preset location.
If you are having trouble with the CD tuner losing your presets, you may want to try resetting the unit to its factory settings. You can consult your owner's manual
My 2006 Hyundai Sonata ESC continues to malfunction no matter what I try.
It's possible that the front suspension replacement could have contributed to the ESC malfunction. The ESC system relies on input from various sensors to determine the behavior of the vehicle, including sensors related to the suspension and steering. If these sensors are not functioning correctly or providing incorrect information, it can trigger the ESC and check engine lights to come on.
In this case, I would recommend having a professional mechanic perform a thorough diagnostic to determine the root cause of the issue. They may need to check the wiring and connections related to the front suspension and any sensors involved in the ESC system.
If the problem persists even after a thorough diagnostic, it may be worth reaching out to Hyundai customer service to see if there is any other potential solution for your particular vehicle. It's possible that there is a known issue with the 2006 Sonata that is not covered by the recall but can still be addressed by the manufacturer.
2016 Hyundai sonata rear 12v power outlet not working
It is possible that the issue with the rear power outlet not working on your 2016 Hyundai Sonata is due to a problem with the power outlet relay in the engine fuse box compartment. You should inspect the relay and see if it has any visible damage or if it is loose. If it is damaged or loose, you should replace it. If the relay looks fine, you can check for any other fuses in the engine fuse box that may control the rear power outlet. If you are not familiar with electrical systems, it is recommended that you take your vehicle to a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Battery or Alternator Please help ?!?!?
The battery is only used to power the starter motor, the electronics and the accessories like the lights, AC and radio. Disconnecting it when the engine is running won't stop the engine.
This sounds like it might be a faulty sensor somewhere on the engine. You will need to get the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to check for Trouble Codes. These will give clues to where the issue could be.
If you have to pay for this service ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different. Comment below with the codes and I'll try to help you more.
My h100 hyundai bakkie is stuck in reverse gear how do I get it out
There are a few steps you can try to get your Hyundai H100 out of reverse gear:
- Shift the transmission into neutral: Try shifting the transmission into neutral by moving the gearshift lever to the neutral position. If the lever is stuck or difficult to move, you may need to apply more force or use a tool to lever it out of place.
- Check the linkage: The linkage between the gearshift lever and the transmission can sometimes become disconnected or damaged, causing the transmission to get stuck in one gear. If the linkage is the problem, you may need to have it repaired or replaced.
- Check the transmission: If the transmission is the problem, you may need to have it serviced or replaced. This is a more serious issue and should be addressed by a mechanic.
- Check the brake system: If the brake system is not functioning properly, it may be preventing the transmission from coming out of reverse gear. Check the brake fluid level and inspect the brake system for any leaks or other issues.
If you are unable to get your Hyundai H100 out of reverse gear using these steps, it is recommended to have it inspected by a mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.
2007 Hyundai Sonata 6 cylinder. I smell burning wires coming from right rear of engine. What can this be?
DO NOT use this vehicle! Smoke and a burning smell could be something serious! There is a huge amount of wires and electronics in a modern engine so unless you know what your doing DON'T mess about with the wiring. The safest thing to do now is to get a good Auto Electrician to come to you to look at this as soon as possible. This needs to be sorted as soon as you can to stop it becoming a VERY expensive problem.
The rear right corner of the engine is where the main fuse box is located so this could be anything from a small wire to something much more serious.
