The dome lamp has a switch that can be put into several positions. "Door" "Off" and "On" If you want the light to come on when you open the door then you must have the switch in the "Door" position.
The "Off" position will only let the dome lamp work when you override it with the dash control and the "On" position will leave the light on at all times - door open or not.

If you replaced the lifters it would not be a bad idea to soak them in oil before putting them in but if it was just the adjusters you won't need to but if it is not a pretty set rail that your adjusters are on you will need to adjust them correctly. First why did you think you needed to replace them .

That screeching sound is a warning that your brake pads are worn down to the point where they should be immediately replaced. If you do not replace the pads, you'll score the rotor and incur an additional expense. Remember to replace the brake pads on both sides, i.e., driver and passenger side.

P0303 $ p0306? How many miles sounds like s misfire depending on mileage it could be a simple tune up or possibly a tune up and an ignition coil or two, if you want to be proactive sometimes you can buy all 6 coils as a package deal but not necessarily cheap.

I’m not trying to sound like Captain obvious, but did you double check and triple check all of the battery connections, and/or main power/ground connections as these are all relevant to the situation?
