Why won't my Hyundai B70A moniter stop flickering?

It may have problem with power supply due to bad caps, or in the backlight inverter circuits, please read below and look at my pictures so you will have some ideas what to look for.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

You usually do not need a disk to install a monitor, most of them are plug and play capable. If your getting an image that is blurry and out of perspective you may need to change your display size " standard 17 inch is 1280x1024 " If your on XP you can right click on the empty desktop and go to properties, Under the settings tab you will find options for screen resolutions. If your on Vista or 7 you right click on empty desktop space and go go screen resolution, There again you will easily find your settings for your screen resolution. Click apply and then click OK. If your still encountering problems such as no image at all you may have a problem with the monitor.

You are at the right place here.
First we need to find out if the porblem is in the monitor or in the PC sound card.
Try feeding the monitor with sound output of MP3 player or iPOD. If you do get sound, then you will need to look at the PC sound if the correct driver is installed properly.
If you do not get the sound from the monitor, then we will need to open it up and do some electronics troubleshooting down to components level which I am not sure if you will want to get that far or not.
So please post back after verifying with MP3 player and let us know what happen.

Press and hold the Fn key (usually italic and purple color) and press the Brightness (sometimes depicted by a bright bulb) key and observe if there's a change in brightness...remember to hold down the Fn key while adjusting the brightness. yetimonsta, Are you sure that the monitor is BLANK?? Or is it just BLACK? Or is it both BLANK and BLACK? Connect a known good monitor to your pc to prove that your pc is working correctly. What does your L90D+ do when connected to good pc. Have you done the flashlight test to evaluate the state of the "switch-mode-power-supply" when lcd panel goes black /blank?? View more of my profile on fixya and you will discover all the options you have open to you. 12fixlouie

How can i adjust my screen from 60hz to 75 khz im

If your screen was manufactured in the last two decades, it will auto-switch to whatever frequency is being sent to it. So change the frequency on whatever you're using to send a picture to it.
Windows XP? Try Control Panel / Display / Settings / Advanced / Adapter / List all Modes.
This will give you a list of the display sizes and refresh rates supported by the card in your PC. If you don't see any choices, you need to find a driver for your video card (not your monitor).

bwpvemail, The units "switch-mode-power-supply" may be in shutdown mode. A tech will need to evaluate. Check to see if Hyundai has a refurbished swapout+cash program?? It's that or trade in for new wide screen, so the tech in the store "back-room" can possibly put $8 in new filter capacitors in your unit and with a little luck will have a 17" L70s for 1-2 more years use. 12fixlouie
