All I can tell you, is I am an employee of a Worldwide organization - and Worldwide we have this same issue - the provider has declared a [now] known issue & has to replace them - I'm guessing a firmware upgrade or something has screwed with them all. My location alone needs 20 replacing - Worldwide will be hundreds.

call your credit card processor, they have to call TSYS to get them to clear it on their end as well.

CE is the error message it means COMMUNICATION ERROR the machine is saying it cant communicate: meaning how is it connected to a phone line? you said you took off the splitter. make sure the phone line is not faulty and is not too long of a cord and is not sharing with any device. the line you use to have on the splitter is it connected to a fax line > does it need a prefix (pabx code) to get an outside line : like a 9 to dial out? try connecting the phone line from the machine directly to the phone jack and try to process a sale. good luck !

You will need to get the "boot program" information Function 91 enter. this will display 4 items of information press cancel to return to main screen. This is an example of what will display. TSPOS7 Program name 07A Program release DLL-00 Download release number T7AEPRM410 Boot program name and release number 7000011 Profile ID you can now perform a boot function download, press Function 99 and enter. PW 028510 Enter , 9 enter, 6 enter, 2 etner, if prompts for host press enter, 1 enter, cancel, Configure terminal or call help co. put into boot function. this will take you out of boot function. unplug terminal and hold down void, offline and plug back in. hold down till 2 beeps ar heard. you will be asked to enter information you gathered from earlier.

Each terminal has a specified power source it uses. if you have one from another terminal it may not work for this one. the power sources should not be swapped out. if you have a specific terminal i can determine the power supply it requires.

No apps means the programming has been lost in the terminal. If that is the only message you get, and can not progress to another screen you will need to load the terminal with the appropriate applications try a quick power cycle- unplug terminal and leave unplugged for 60 seconds, replug and see if it starts to cycle the apps, if noti it needs a download.

Refurbish it, or better yet, just buy a T7 Plus for same $. But the long-term fix will be device replacement with PCI and EMV compliant hardware some time in 2014/2015!
