My humminbird 535 displays 1/2 screen
I would say the display itself is faulty. It *may* just be a loose ribbon wire but usually it points to the display replacement.

My dept finder reads gives
If your depth is off because of where your transducer is located, calibration can be done through the menu by adding or subtracting a foot or two. In your never to be read manual are all the instructions necessary. If you are off by more than a foot or 2, chances are your transducer is bad.

It all depends. It very well be either the transducer or the unit. Best thing to do is send both the transducer and the unit in for service. The 800 number is 800-633-1468.
