Your HTC Wildfire has the Android 2.1 OS. As such, there are several apps at Android Market you can use to download books. Just download whichever app you need. Most are free.

Your phone is an HTC with the Android OS. I'm not familiar with the newest apps from Android Market for your purpose. However, if an app is available that will work for what you want it to do, it would be found on Android Market.
I would however caution you to download Lookout Mobile Security FIRST before you download any apps to your phone.
Unline the iOS apple provides, there are many different styles of the Android OS. Think of your phone like a car, android makes all the engines, but HTC, samsung, ect, get to the design the body!. Your HTC F3 will be loaded with HTC sense, which is a great android powered operating system. Cheers!
Connect the HTC Desire to your PC via the USB cable, so that you can get to the .VCF card that was just created. Log into your gmail account and click on the contacts menu choice on the left side. Choose the "Import" menu choice at the top right of the contacts list now and select the .VCF and press Import. This will load all those contacts into your Contact list in Gmail and the next time you reset your phone and you resync with Google all your contacts will be then available again on your HTC Desire.
Other solution try Vibosoft Android Mobile Manager:

You should update the 'System' on your phone.
Go to Settings>About Phone
Select 'System Updates' to get your system up to date. This should get you going with Android Market.
You will need some internet connection for this.
Right now, the desire is on android 2.2. If you are not yet running 2.2, you can go to settings > About Phone > System Software Updates then click check now. It should then download the latest android version.
If you don't know what version of android you are running, you can check by going to Settings > About phone > Software Information. The first line will tell you the android verison.

Hey,I think it is not possible to recover the files stored in the internal memory of HTC phone. In order to recover files from external storage device i.e from SD card, you need to make use of an Android recovery software. The one that I would like to recommend is Yodot Android Data recovery software. This software can recover files from htc one, desire v, sensation etc. Just download its trial version to know more
