How do you reset the

You might need to soft or hard reset your HTC Tilt smartphone if you have issues with it freezing or locking up. Here's how.

Soft Reset

Simply use the stylus to press the small Reset button on the bottom of the unit.

Hard Reset

A hard reset erases all data off of the HTC Tilt.

1. Press and hold the left and right softkeys at the same time.

2. While continuing to hold both buttons, use the stylus to press the Reset button at the bottom of your device.

3. Release the Reset button and continue to hold down the 2 softkeys until you see a message about deleting all data from the device.

4. Press the Phone button to complete the hard reset.

Sim card slot stuck

1) taken apart and rebuilt cellphones and 2) dealt with hundreds of malfunctioning phones that didn't read SIM's, I'll give you some ACTUAL help.1) remove the SIM and check for any missing pins in the slot. You can only see the first row of pins on the N1, but that's all you can see without taking the thing apart again. You should see 4 pins, but the one closest to the notched corner of the SIM doesn't really do anything.2) If everything looks okay, reinsert the SIM, along with a couple pieces of paper. The idea is to press the SIM into the contacts in case the fit isn't as tight as before. If you either see damaged pins in step 1 or step 2 didn't work, take it back to the repair guy. He broke it, he's obligated to fix it.Auto Accessories

How do i insert sim card

In the past, some HTC devices have been affected by problems with touchscreen alignment, but you shouldn't have any problems with the TyTN II in this department. The 240 x 320 display is clear and bright and also seems not to suffer from yellow colour cast that has been common on earlier devices.

The keyboard has a nice positive action to it and works extremely well. It's virtually identical to the HTC Herald, and very similar to the HTC TyTN. Holding the device in both hands it's easy to type at a fair rate using just your thumbs.

Finally, to insert a SIM card you have to slide the keyboard open and then look on the rear of the screen. Under a flap you'll find the SIM card slot.

My tytn ii touch screen is not responding

I have had the same problem but have finally got past the alignment screen by putting a new text document called welcome.not onto the memory card. At least the phone is working now, but the screen is not. HTC have sent me the phone back wanting £360 because they say it is water damaged even though it is less than 12 months old.
