HP MCP61PM-HM motherboard diagram

Hi RobPu,
I have searched everywhere. I even entered a chat windows with Compaq & asked for a site to download the manual for Compaq Presario SR5015LA Desktop PC which has the motherboard MCP61PM-HM in it. (Nothing). This board was made by
ECS known as EliteGroup. Still nothing. Forms for the most part do not help, only with drivers. Drivers for the board can be found on Compaq's web site.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3411762
But the manual will not download. That's what is needed to hook up the front panel pins to you're case. I even looked for other possible boards who's layout was close to the MCP61PM-HM.
Nothing! I did find other Compaq PC's that also had the same board in it but after looking through the manuals, not one actuallys shows where to plug the front panel LED's on to the board. Why? Because Compaq does not support a user changing out their case for another. There is no money in that.
For the most part RobPu, system boards share some things in common. I am posting a picture for you. This pic is upside down for you so try & work with me here. Hook up you're LED's as shown. This should work for you. Pin 1 is you're starting point.
daa3370.jpg This is standard for ECS boards even if it's being sold by Compaq. Like I mentioned, for you it is posted unside down.
Try it, I'm sure it will work for you.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post.
Suggestions & comments welcomed.
Mike

Hp laptop trouble with power on

There could be several reasons why your HP laptop is not turning on and not charging even after installing a new power button board and DC in port. Here are a few possible causes and troubleshooting steps you can try: Battery: Even if the laptop is connected to the charger, if the battery is faulty or dead, the laptop may not turn on. Try removing the battery and plugging in the charger directly to the laptop. If the laptop turns on without the battery, then it's likely that the battery needs to be replaced. Charger: Check if the charger is working properly. You can try using another charger with the same voltage and amperage to see if the laptop starts charging. If the laptop starts charging with a different charger, then your original charger may be faulty. Power Jack: Make sure the power jack is properly connected to the motherboard. If it's loose or not properly seated, the laptop may not charge or turn on. You can try reseating the power jack or replacing it if it's damaged. Motherboard: If none of the above steps work, then the problem may be with the motherboard. A damaged or faulty motherboard can prevent the laptop from turning on or charging. In this case, you may need to take the laptop to a professional repair technician or consider replacing the motherboard. In summary, the laptop may not turn on even when connected to the charger if the battery is dead or faulty, the charger is faulty, the power jack is loose or damaged, or the motherboard is damaged. It's important to troubleshoot each of these components to identify the root cause of the issue.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 stuck in printhead animation

It sounds like you are experiencing a hardware issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer, specifically with the printhead. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Power cycle the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 1 minute. Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This may help to reset the printer and clear any errors.
  2. Remove the printhead and cartridges: Turn off the printer, open the front cover, and remove the printhead and all the cartridges. Clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth and distilled water. Be sure to let the printhead dry completely before reinserting it. Reinstall the printhead and cartridges and turn the printer back on.
  3. Reset the printer: Follow the steps for a full reset from the service menu, but before turning the printer back on, disconnect the printer from any network or computer connections. Turn the printer back on and try to print a test page.
  4. Replace the printhead: If the issue persists, it may be necessary to replace the printhead. Contact HP support for further assistance and information on how to order a replacement printhead.
Note: Using refillable cartridges can sometimes cause issues with the printer and may void the warranty. It is recommended to use genuine HP cartridges to ensure the best performance and reliability of your printer.

As i was printing A0 plans the printer froze.then i shut it down then switched it back on but now its not booting up......please help. the screen comes on but nothing is happening??

First, make sure the printer is connected to a power source and the power is turned on. If it is, try disconnecting the power cord from the printer and wait a few seconds before reconnecting it. Also make sure the power cord is connected to a working outlet. If these steps do not help, your printer may require additional maintenance or repairs. I recommend contacting HP Support for assistance.

I have an hp laptop that wont turn on?

It sounds like you have a faulty battery or the laptop has suffered a power surge. To resolve the issue, you can try a few things. First, try resetting the laptop by holding down the power button for 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, try replacing the battery with a new one. If the laptop still won't turn on, it's likely that you sustained a power surge in the DC port and will need to get it serviced at an HP authorized service center.

Installed new HP 74 and 75 cartridges.

First, try to clean the print head by following the steps below: 1. Remove the old ink cartridges and clean the print head nozzle with a damp cotton swab to remove any dried ink. 2. Reinstall the new ink cartridges and print a test page. 3. If the test page is still blurry, try running the printer's alignment utility. This is typically accessed through the printer's settings or system preferences. 4. If the alignment utility doesn't help, try manually doing an alignment page directly from your computer. Be sure to follow the instructions from the printer manual or from the printer manufacturer's website. 5. If the alignment page is still blurry, try reinstalling the cartridges to ensure the cartridges are securely in place. 6. If all else fails, you may need to replace the ink cartridges

Hp Laserjet 6L often shows no paper when in fact paper is loaded, and if it prints, I get a grey page where the text is difficult to read.

The issue you are describing with your HP Laserjet 6L printer could be caused by a few different things. Here are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:
  1. Clean the printer: Over time, dust and debris can build up inside the printer and cause various issues, including problems with paper detection and print quality. Use a clean, dry cloth to gently wipe down the interior and exterior of the printer. You can also use compressed air to blow out any dust or debris.
  2. Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that the paper guide is adjusted to the correct size of paper. Also, check the paper pickup roller for any debris or wear. If the roller is dirty or worn, it may not be able to properly pick up the paper.
  3. Check the toner cartridge: If the toner cartridge is running low, it may not be able to produce a dark enough image, which could result in the grayish text you are seeing. Consider replacing the toner cartridge to see if this resolves the issue.
  4. Check the printer settings: Make sure that the print settings in the printer driver are set to the correct paper size and type, and that the print quality setting is set to a high enough level to produce clear text.
  5. Check the fuser: The fuser is a component inside the printer that heats up to fuse the toner onto the paper. If the fuser is damaged or worn, it may not be able to properly fuse the toner, which could result in poor print quality. Consider replacing the fuser to see if this resolves the issue.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the printer to a qualified technician for diagnosis and repair.

You also don't tell us what 'the units' are either. Printers are connected via USB to the Laptop. The socket with 3 or 4 prongs is likely the external mouse socket. It may even be the mains adapter socket. ..

My prenter hp 2420 have two one is error of 62.2 storage and secondly when i use keys its functions are much slowr on disply during sitings so plz sport me for these slutions

Error code 62.2 on an HP LaserJet 2420 printer usually indicates an issue with the printer's internal memory or storage. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove any accessories or optional components that are installed in the printer, such as an optional paper tray or additional memory.
  3. Power on the printer and see if the error message has cleared. If it has, the issue was likely caused by an incompatible accessory or memory module.
  4. If the error message persists, try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. To do this, turn off the printer, press and hold the "Go" button, and turn the printer back on while continuing to hold the "Go" button. Release the button when the printer's attention light turns on and all other lights turn off.
  5. If the issue still persists after resetting the printer, it may be necessary to replace the printer's formatter board, which contains the printer's internal memory and storage.
As for the slow response when using the printer's keys, this may be caused by a separate issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Check the printer's display for any error messages or other indications of a problem.
  2. Make sure that the printer's firmware is up to date. You can download the latest firmware from HP's website and install it using the printer's embedded web server or HP Web Jetadmin software.
  3. If the printer is connected to a network, try connecting it directly to a computer using a USB cable to see if the issue persists. If it does not, there may be a problem with the network connection.
  4. Try resetting the printer to its factory defaults, as described in the previous section. This may help to clear any configuration or settings issues that are causing the slow response.
