You need the drivers for your sound card.If your computer came pre-built and has a model number, google drivers for this computer and install the sound drivers.If your computer doesn't have a model number, you'll need to open up the case. Once open, if you have a discrete sound card (it's a card that fits into a slot on the motherboard) you'll need to google the make and model of it and find drivers. If you don't have a discrete card, you'll need to google make and model of the motherboard and find drivers that way.
