Hi, Either you have a bad cold control or a failed damper witch will cause this issue. Most likely a bad damper though, locate the air vent top middle of the refer section and check to see if its wide open. If this does not close it will cause freezing. Hi Reginald Most refrigerator / freezer units chill the fridge area by venting some fraction of the very cold air from the freezer into the fridge compartment through a channel that has a mechanical air valve in it. In this way, it can control the chilled air flow, and aim for the set temperature, all the way down, in some cases, to freezing, or even colder, on the fridge side. That vent unit, depending on your model, sill be somewhere in the wall that separates the freezer from the fridge. What can happen is that moisture condenses into the louver that slides to control the airflow, it freezes, and then system is stuck, since it's cold on the freezer side, and this keeps the louver frozen stuck. If that is the case, shutting the unit off for a while may recover function, though getting it to where ice is melting in an interior wall may be more risk of food spoilage than you'd want. typically, YES. I'd suggest that you try it and see what happens. You'll know quite soon. If the butter melts, it's too warm. If the milk freezes, it's too cold. A happy place is somewhere these extremes, and how long it runs will depend on how warm the room is where it is located, and the condition of the refridgerator.

Is there ice accumulation on the back wall of freezer? If so the auto defrost mechanism consisting of defrost timer, heat element, defrost timer is defective. Is your thermostat working properly and not turning things off prematurely? Freezer fan spinning? Compressor running? Check out the above.

Check out the start capacitor and/or start relay. If defective the compressor will not start and hence no cooling. Also make sure that the motor is receiving power from the thermostat circuit.

The start relay is under the cover on the compressor. The wires are connected to it directly. The capacitor may be mounted a short distance from the compressor. Wire color is usually brown or yellow.

1. make sure the machine is level by adjusting the feet or rollers.
2. make sure the icemaker is level in the cabinet and tightened firmly.
3. verify the water delivery tube is in the correct position to deliver water into the cube trough.
