My fridge freezer motor was making a whole lot of noise
There is a fan that blows air over the condenser coils under the fridge in the back. You will have to pull the fridge out away from the wall, remove the screws that hold the access plate or panel that covers it. There is probably something catching the fan. This would be a good time to clean as much of the evaporation coils with the light brush or vacuum. It could be the fan is shot but these things operate on a low speed and last a long time. Check this first before doing anything else, The screws are generally removed with w fillips screwdriver of you may have to find a set of small sockets to remove them. It is possible that the compressor is broken in which case you will need a new or used fridge which you can find all over.
The Ice maker in my
Replace the icemaker. It sounds to me as though the harvesting thermostat has gone bad and it would cost more to have a serviceman fix it than to just buy a new icemaker. This is a common problem that I've seen so many times !
Frozen water dispenser
Take a small hand cloth or a 6-inch by 6-inch cloth and wrap it around the water line where it freezes up. This will help insulate the line. Failing this, do you see frost or ice forming anywhere specifically around the door - if so, the door seal would need to be replaced at a cost dramatically less than US$400.

Make sure that the freezer fan is working and circulating the cold air. Then check the damper assembly to make sure that cold air is being circulated into the refrigerator. And lastly make sure that the self defroster is working - if not the evaporator will freeze up, freezer temps go up, and ice maker will not work if freezer temps are 10 degrees or higher. A digital refrigerator thermometer will confirm freezer temps being high.

Hotpoint ff73 fridge section not functioning
Model no. returns no information.
Sounds like you have a defrost problem. Once symptoms show up, the failure probably occurred 1-2 weeks prior, resulting in frost accumulating in the freezer. Turning it off will allow it to manually defrost and will work ok for another 2-3 weeks.
There are 3 components that make up the defrost system.
1. Defrost timer
2.Defrost terminating thermostat
3.Defrost heater
You will have to replace all 3 components unless you can determine what's at fault

Water dispenser
First thing I would check is the solenoid valve. It's what the water line in the back is connected to. An easy way to test it is to remove the screws connecting the solenoid so it is loose from the refrigerator. Remove the 2 water lines going into the refrigerator from the solenoid, keeping the water line from your house still plugged into it. Get a bucket and while the open ends are pointed in the bucket have someone press the water dispenser lever on front. If it dispenses water into the bucket from one side it's good, if not, replace it. Please be careful of the wire harness that is connected to the solenoid. Any part of the bare metal on the contacts, when energized, carry120v and can shock you.
Hope that helps.

I have a Hotpoint HSS25GFTA WW Fridge that has
Hello:
It is very common to have the line in the freezer door freeze up. I would start there first. If that's not it then next step would be your water valve which is located in the back/bottom of the fridge. It is a dual valve( one side for ice maker the other for water dispenser). you can check that by taking off the front kick plate and on the bottom freezer door hinge you will see the line entering the door. Follow it towards the under the fridge and you will find a coupling. Disconnect it and see if there is any water coming out when you press actuator on the door .. If yes then its frozen if no your valve is Kaput.
Cheers

Hi, my Hotpoint ff200e fridge
Hi.. feel the dividing rdge between fridge and freezer.. is it warm?.. chances are that the little fan at the back of the fridge freezer that helps cool the compressor, has snagged own it's own wire... it's a weak fan, like you get in a computer, but it does a lot of work.. without it, the coolent does not do it's job, which results in your device not cooling things properly
