HOw do I refit the handle on a hotpoint SY36w oven door please?

Most oven doors handles are held in by screws from the inside of the door. Inside the front side of the door, so you need to remove the inside of the door to get at them. You should be able to remove the door from the oven or at least lock it in the down position. Carefully remove the screws and pay attention to which screws goes where. Then remove the back, tighten the screws holding the handle in and replace the back Document or take pictures/video of what you do to make sure everything goes back where it should. Ba careful with the glass.

What's causing my oven to stay hot HOURS after I've turned it off?

If you have the older type stove with the oven knob that has the temperature setting around the outside of the knob, then that part could be bad. It is called a thermostat. That part usually comes with sensor attached. The sensor is the long skinny looking tube that goes through a hole and into the oven. If you have the newer type electronic stove where you program in the temperature you want, the electronic circuit board could be bad. But the electronic stoves have a over temperature protection built into the circuit board, so that would have engaged, shutting down the stove. Either way, it is a potential fire hazard and needs to be addressed.

My hotpoint hob is making a high pitch noise even when not being used, it only does it 2 or 3 times a day, at no regular interval, it has been fitted 4 weeks and only started making the noise 3 days a

Switch it off and seek out a repair as this could be dangerous. ISOLATE the HOB MAINS POWER This doesn't sound too healthy, do not take risks with electrical appliances, if you spilled a large amount of liquid it may be the liquid has found its way into the regulators on the hob depending on what type. If however it was newly fitted you should be able to claim on the warranty, its worth checking. Hope this is helpful John

My hotpoint oven is burning everything so need to know what to replace

If your oven is burning everything, it is getting too hot. Therefore the heater is working but the thing that measures the temperature is not. This is called the thermostat and there will be two types, one for each oven. Google search for Hotpoint UY46 thermostat, there are plenty of suppliers. Make sure you get the correct one for the oven that is burning. They are about 20-30 pounds to buy and generally easy to change. Just make sure the power is turned off before working on the oven and be careful of sharp edges as it is easy to get cut when removing panels. Good luck.
