Panel doesnt work reads pf

Hi

PF means power failure, to resolve this issue take a hair dryer and with the unit unplugged and the control apart blow air on the electronic part of the control. If the issue returns then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...

Will not get food hot

The problem is most likely the magnetron "that heats food" and is breaking down. There are two other parts of concern, the high voltage diode, and capacitor that tie into the high voltage grid to work together. Depending on parts and labor will determine the final outcome of cost.

Our microwave is not heating. When you turn it on

It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 on high resistance range for short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F3 error in your unit means shorted key panel (touch pad assembly) and is displayed when a shorted key panel is detected continuously over 60 seconds. Try to blow some air on the touch pad assembly, if this won't work then replacing the keypad is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Oven does not heat up ?

There are few parts that will cause the microwave to fail, the high voltage diode, "opens/shorts" or the high voltage capacitor becomes defective, one of the more common failures is the magnetron, "heats food" and the least likely is the high voltage transformer that drives the magnetron. It will need to be checked to determine the faulty part or parts.

The issue can be due to either a bad keypad or the control itself has gone bad. Please tell me its complete error code, you can also take it apart and blow some air on the control to check if it solves the issue. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
