Check the mains lead for continuity! Thats making sure the lead to the dryer is not broke anywhere internally.
It may mean removing panel to get access to where the mains lead goes into the dryer, You can do this with power off, check with a multimeter that both the brown wire and blue wire as well as the green and yellow earth wire has continuity from the plug to the dryer!!
48 mins ago - SOURCE: Reconnect wiring on a Hotpoint VTD00 tumble dryer. most electric dryers have a wiring schematic on the back or inside on the back ...
Try flipping breaker all the way off than back on. If you have a volt meter check voltage. Next unplug and check cord connections,on back if all good check vent fir clogged if still not working problem inside thermostat fuse timer board belt switch There's a lot to check
A broken fuse replaced ? maesured ? heating element measure are there burning control lights ? , or no function at all program clock defect ? , its in safe mode because of overheat protection ? , make
regular maintenance schedule to clean your cooling fan between its grooves ??? thats the caused of many Unforeseen house fires.
especial condens dryers because of the highly combustible dust buildup,, do a measure of the thermal security units on the heating element and its on begin or the end placed of the heating element. the program clock the motor carbon brushes of this part maybe is an autostop protection activated inside the brush itself and if it has an induction motor the start capacitor can be damaged.
Electric dryer no start does nothing
Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage.
CHECK THERMAL SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BLOWER. for OHMS or resistance with a meter. Should show a closed circuit. Ohms WHEN THIS FUSE BLOWS IT WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.
NEXT Test the PUSH start switch with meter for OHMS. Should show OHMS when pushed in or on start, and no ohms or infinity when in off position.
If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor.
Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay/capacitor on motor.
Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings
Another thing to check is the belt safety switch. With a multi meter.
Especially if u just replaced the belt. The belt safety switch is attached to the Tensioner and motor. IT LOOKS LIKE A DOOR SWITCH SOMEWHAT a little black pc of plastic with 2 prongs going into it. Sits at bottom of motor. Under the Tensioner. Attach meter clips to the 2 prongs on switch, Then when the little white push button is pressed in it should show continuity and none when released.
Lastly check ur DOOR SWITCH for continuity with a meter when the button is pushed in the (on/Door closed position,) it may have gone bad.

Hey GOD IS GOOD !!!! WHICH IS WHY MY ADVICE IS FREEWhat to Test When Whirlpool or Kenmore Dryer Won Start or Run
Sure, but why? The timer is hooked up to a cam(s) that sets up the different operations of unit. Without the cam working about all you will do is maybe get a spinning motor at best.
Replace the messed up timer assembly.
Since no dryer I am aware of uses any liquid, I suggest you may be putting wet clothes into the dryer.
This can happen if the washer does not spin the clothes nearly dry. Many dryers have small holes in the dryer drum to let excess water flow out, I would guess that may be the case with yours.
Are your clothes nearly dry when they come out of the washer?
If not, perhaps the washer has a loose belt or has a problem with the "dry" cycle.
God bless your efforts.
You have not share the year of this dryer, but the newer ones ( since 1985) began to add heat sensors and fuses. These "fuses" and "thermostats" can fail, and need replacement.
They are tested with a volt-ohm meter or a multi-meter.
Likely you have one that has failed.
The newest models have as many as 6. An average is about 4.
God bless your efforts.
The water full switch isn`t on the water container but in the sump where the water is collected and then pumped up to top container,so it`s possible that the sump is full and the float has risen (this switches heater off and illuminates the water full lamp) it`s most likely then that your pump or pipework is blocked or pump has failed.
Unplug unit, lift up top and look at the connections on control knob area and also look at door switch, sometimes when you take these things apart, little connectors pop off the terminals, 9 times out of ten it's a door switch or wiring to it.
