Drags when trying too start

Check voltage on battery (if under 11 volts, charge battery); check voltage from alternator with car running (if volts under 13 volts, get new one); If the above are functioning correctly, check wires going to starter (if wires are ok, you need a starter)

What's the best oil for Honda em 400 power generator?

S.A.E grade 10w-30 multi grade oil its recommended from 60F and up. For temp lower than 60F use the 20W oil if its a new Gen(first operation). replace oil after 20Hr. Other than that in normal working environment replace oil evry after 100Hr. Dusty area shorten the time of replacing oil and cleaning air filter. remember not replace hot oil or if the Gen runing !!

Honda EM1500 Generator not producing 240v how do I flash the fields I dont have a circuit diagram

Hi Richard Not even the Service centres get circuit diagrams any more. Proprietary Info I guess. Is this a Sign Wave or Inverter Model. Dont Flash the fields. Probably an Alternator Stator controlled by the Rotor Field via brushes & controlled by regulator. Then it may connect to a Semiconductor Solid State Inverter to give clean power for electronic devices Good Luck

Why does it surge when first started?

these carburetors are not adjustable any longer. my guess is that the carb my look perfectly clean but some of the jetting may not be perfect. When it's cold, it surges, when it's warm and under a load it runs OK If its under warranty, the dealer doesn't want to spend the $$ to replace the carb.

I HAVE A GENERATOR HONDA E2500.

the generator is not big enough to run what you want it needs to be 3500w minimum or 4.5w to be safe although it is stated at 2500 watts , in fact that is the peak load on electric motor start up and its continuous rating will be around 1.8 watts all of this is clearly stated on the specs plate on the generator

What connector is needed for a remote start?

talk with an accredited electrician as there will have to be a special relay/ breaker in the fuse board of the house the problem is that your genset cannot be running when utility power comes back on as it will destroy the genset the electrician can wire the board so that when utility power is available the gen set can be started but not connected to the house when the utiltiy power fails the relay switches over to the gen set and allows it to start and power the house when utiltiy power is restored the relay disconnects the gen set and reconnects to the utiltiy power supply This is not a job for anyone except a fully qualified electrician
