My nt50ae2 brad nailer jams in the magazine. the feeder rides on top of the nails.

This happens. The follower jumps over the nails and the magazine binds. Step 1. Remove nails, unplug hose. Step 2. Remove the bolt at the bottom of the magazine with a 2.5mm hex key. Step 3. Remove the magazine while holding the nail follower in place to the magazine cover. Step 4. Carefully remove the nail follower and gently extend the yellow warning indicator and follower spring. Step 6. Inspect the nail follower. There should be 3 indentations that are stamped into nail follower face. This is the culprit. Step 7. With a small punch, make these three indentations deeper. Step 8. Assemble and test. Repeat if necessary. Hope this helps.

Skiping nails

Usually caused by weak feeder spring, however if new spring does not fix problem then check or replace orings on the feed piston (3 orings) , replace the driver oring and make sure that the driver sheet seal is not broken. The sheet is located at the very bottom of the inside of the cylinder area. If good, the driver will not pull out of the gun from the top of cylinder. To see the condition of the sheet, gently pull up on the driver just enough to look down the cylinder past the bumper. If the sheet is missing a piece, air leaks past the driver and does not push the driver all the way back up to top of cylinder causing miss-fire. Good luck

How to replace the trigger on a hitachi nv45ab2

Pound roll pin out of black trigger and remove. Turn silver slotted part with screw driver and the two valves will pop out. Usually it's the flat trigger bushing that is bad and makes it leak. I have all parts. airnailerparts.com

I have a craftsman roof nailer with plastic cover

Best place for replacement parts is the address below.
Ez to order from and usually only takes 10 to 14 days to get the parts. Click on Hitachi logo then select coil nailers, then your model number. For local parts, look in the yellow page directory for fasteners. Fastener companies that sell nails and other supplies to contractors also have parts for Hitachi nailers. Check with several. Some will even repair the nailer for you if you buy nails from them.
Good luck.

Air blows out through the exhaust when air hose is attached

Most likely worn headvalve Part# 882927 not expensive and available thru www.toolreplacementparts.com. However you could try cleaning and lubing the headvalve. Sometimes debris will enter the gun thru the air hose and lodge in the head. Use white grease or silicone paste. Good luck.

The gun had a slight air leak at the trigger. The repair shop put in an o-ring kit. Works great on their shop compressor. Plugged it into 2 different portable compressors and air leaks continuously fr

Roger, what PSI are you running on your portable compressors? Sometimes these guns will not operate properly if there is not enough air pressure. I have seen some guns that if the air pressure is too low that they will not seal up properly and act as if there is a leak. If you can adjust your portables make sure that your setting is at least what the minimum setting for your gun calls for and then adjust upwards if you need it to drive deeper. Hope this helps.

Hitachi nv65ah driver sticks after driving first nail

Most often with this tool it is because the driver is bent. Remove the 4 bolts on the head and pull the driver straight out to inspect it. It doesn't take a lot of bend to hang it up. Let me know if this helps!

How do you remove the cylinder from the nailer

The cylinder is held in place very tightly by o-rings to keep a good air seal between the top and bottom half. Sometimes you have to apply some gentle prying pressure with a screwdriver to loosten it. Be careful as the the cylinder and body are soft metals and can be scratched or bent easily. If prying doesnt' work, turn the gun upside down and hit the egde of the top of the gun, again firmly but not hard enough to deform the head, on your workbench to make the cylinder come out.

How easy is it to take apart my hitachi nailer and clean it

If its working ok, dont take it apart, just give it a bath in diesel. Diesel fuel and a small brush will keep it clean and lubed from the outside. Keeping using few drops of oil once or twice a day. If the cylinder is sticking open (air out head when you connect air), remove head and pull out the cylinder and clean /lube with white grease. If the cylinder has fine scratches where orings make contact, sand with very fine sandpaper untill smooth. Make a gizmo that you can turn with drill that will fit into the cylinder and spin the cylinder while you sand. I use a 1.5 inch solid rubber bushing with 1/4 " shaft pushed thru; fits snuggly into cylinder (or just turn by hand). Good luck
