Normally these systems need to be shut down for at least 2 hours and overnight is better. After you restore power at the breaker wait at least 10 minutes for the self test procedure to finish. Then make sure you are set to A/C chilled air as it defaults at every disconnect. Happy Thanksgiving.

this problem arises when u disturbe the remote settings. to make it operate again use the following procedure 1.on the power from stablizer 2.press the button in remote with 'key' sign once 3.now adjust the number displayed in remote 9 99 to 3 25 by using 'down '(temp adjustment button) key. 4.press again the button with 'key' sign 5.now ur ac is reinstate enjoy the breeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeeee thanks atul sharma bikaner rajasthan india

It is a Split AC System, of course it can be repaired. Sounds like he doesn't know Hitachi units and didn't want to learn either. Could be time to clean or replace it

That means that the indoor unit is not communicating with the outdoor unit. Check all the cables between the two units, look for broken wires, corrosion and loose fittings

the red light turns on automatically after 120 hrs of running to remind us for cleaning the filters. once you cleaned the filters and inserted back , then just keep ac in stand by mode, open the remote panel and press the button on extreme right bottom of the remote ( see carefully in the remote, there is very light image of the filter is made along with the button). red light will go off. no need to press the reset button.... enjoy

Did you figure out why the ac wasn't responding to the remote? I am having the same problem. I just cleaned out the filters but it's still not responding to the remote. I have already tried reset button in the remote, which didn't help. I am pretty sure that the remote is not out of battery.

I believe that error code means the fan DC motor is faulty. Check the connections first, if all seems ok, I'm afraid you will have to contact your nearest Customer Service and arrange to have a service call. If the AC unit is still under warranty then you may not have to pay for any parts.
