The various rates of flashing are error indicator codes and should be explained on the charger case. They are for the condition of the battery's though and not the charger. It sounds like the charger itself is bad. Can you return it for a replacement? Is it still in Warranty? For whats its worth, I went from Milwaukee tools to Bosch to De Walt before being satisfied with performance. I hope this helps.

Amps don't 'put out' 8-ohms; they're spec'd to drive a nominal load, usually 8-ohms, and always have some leeway as speakers are reactive loads that will vary with frequency.

You need to evaluate what your amp can do with a nominal 4-ohm load. The manual says they will work with amps rated for 4-8 ohm loads. Plug them in and keep an eye (and ear) out for any sign of stress (heat, distortion, smoke) when driving them hard.

For a quick reference on the L200 WHAT MODEL DO YOU HAVE? The .3 would be it's status when the fault occured. 3 means constant speed. Are you overloading the drive?

That is not a very clear question. When you say interupt drive power,d o you just want to stop the drive? or do you want to render it safe to work on. To stop the drive removing the drive command signal is fine. or look at the wiring diagram and connect some type of stop button. The drive will stop in whatever mode you programmed it for (coast, braking etc) To render it safe for somone to work on it would require a lockable disconnect switch that can be locked in the open position with a padlock (standard fusable or nonfusable disconnect) If you don't have your manual, you can download one here: http://www.inverter.co.uk/applications/hitachi.htm
