Can not find an avconnecting
I checked out the guide and it appears to be a fairly standard AV/S output cable. I was able to find several online. I know I had one too that came with my camcorder but I had little use for it and it's been misplaced. The ones I found online are much nicer than the ones that come with your camcorder standard. They are also called s-video/av cables. If you are looking locally I would try anyplace that sells camcorders or home theater systems. It should have one yellow or yellow striped plug that is round with holes in it, the other two will be the same size as each other but one is red and the other white or has that stripe. Those will have pins on the end.
I have a DVD camera
TRY THIS SOLUTION. TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF AND CONNECT YOUR CAMERA. NEXT TURN YOUR COMPUTER ON AND WAIT TO SEE IF WIN VISTA WILL " FIND " YOUR CAMERA. IF THIS DOESN'T WORK GO TO THE HITACHI WEBSITE AND SEE IF THEY DON'T HAVE A NEWER VERSION UPDATE TO COVER VISTA. IF THEY DO, JUST DOWNLOAD IT AND YOU SHOULD ALSO BE BACK IN BUSINESS. IT IS DOUBTFUL THAT YOUR CAMERA CAN'T BE USED. TRY THESE AND THEN REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217
Transferring photos from hitachi hdc-1061e
Sorry, I haven't been able to find any software, but you can try the
following workaround:
1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC.
2. Right click START button and select Explore.
3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (It
will usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM
Drive letter.
4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane.
5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive.
6. Copy the required pics (Press CTRL and click on pics in case you want to
select more than one pic.
7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (or
create a new one) and paste the pics into this folder.
8. You're done :)
Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to
post them here.
P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you
to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating.
I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

HITACHI HDC-531E
I have the same problem. My research suggests that a battery for the Konica Minolta NP-900 may do the trick. The dimensions and configuration look the same as that for the Hitachi HDC-531E.
I've ordered a cheap one from Hong Kong and will let you know whether it works once I've tried it out, Fingures crossed!
DIGITAL CAMERAS HDC571 i
The camera uses a TFTLCD monitor, which is a high power usage device, any battery that are not high power will have the same results as you do (I have the same camera and done the same with cheaper batterys).
I will say go to a supermarket as mostr do Duracell turbo/ultras on 2for1 offers or 8 battery packs at half price.
How do I charge it
Hi-

Iv just bough a 4gb
I'm not really familiar w/ your Video Camera. But you 4gb SD card can take about 24,000 still pictures. From what I understand, the SD card is only for take still pictures and not videos. The Video Camera is designed to use the Digital Video discs for videos. 4Gb might be too big for the machine to handle. Hope this helps but really I'm not sure. Check out this website which talks a lot about the Hitachi. A lot of techie stuff too you can use.
