Try formatting the sd card using the camera. You should be able to find in the menus.

• check if the batteries are fully charged.
• try resetting the camera.
• zooming motor has gone bad. have it replaced.

I think you mean, you can't read the manual. Most manuals are PDF files and need a PDF reader. I'm using a MAC, but I don't know where to find the PDF reader. Try ADOBE and download the free PDF reader from there.

It's bad/weak batteries. I had the same problem using Hyundai batteries, thought the camera had broken until I used Duracel instead and it worked as it should. Batteries don't last long in digital cameras full stop, but decent brands like Duracel will help.
