Him I need to recover

This drive is an IDE type and not SATA, which means you will need an adapter like this one so you can plug a data cable and provide power. You can then connect the drive to a regular desktop PC.

You can set the jumper on the drive to make it a slave and hook it up on the same IDE cable as your primary hard drive, but the jumpers on the laptop drives are teeny little ones and I personally find them hard to deal with. What I do is unplug the data cable to the optical drives which are on the second IDE channel, then plug the laptop drive cable there. Then the drive can remain jumpered as master.

Another option is not to bother opening the PC at all, but to get an external hard drive case like this. Then you could just plug the drive in on a USB port and copy your data, and you'd have an external drive available for future use.

Good luck with the recovery, and thanks for using Fixya!

How to remove hard disk

this process works on USB drives and on many hard drives

click start control panel administrive tools computer management disc management right click on your drive select properties then security select take full control

USB drives can be write-protected by modifying the StoreageDevicePolicies Registry key and WriteProtect Registry value.
click Start>run>regedit to open Registry Editor. and press control+F to open the find dialogue box and type "usb device" or "driverdesc" to open usb mass storage device or type "usb mass storage device" in the search windows. And right click on it and delete. This will set the policy value to 0. then insert your usb device. It will work fine.
# Remember: do not delete any unknow files in the registry as this will make some programes not work as usual.

alsoIf you are running a Windows XP OS then you might be able to: - click start right click on my computer select open- Right click the icon of your Flash Drive (It should be F:/ or something) - Click Properties in the menu that comes up - Click the Sharing tab - Click permissions - And finally, click Allow next to Full Control. hope this helps don

My hardisk cannot detect both

probably not, If it was me, I'd pull the hard drive out and hook it up externally with an adapter kit you can buy for about $20, that adapts your internal hdd to a USB external device---it's essentially just a controller card with cables and it's own power...you might ask someone who knows what to do...

If you are installing Windows XP or greater on on hardware that is not more than a few years old, you should not need to download a driver, the drives should be recognized automatically during the install.

This is a SMART hard disk monitor Warning. You should probably make a backup on an external drive just in case the drive decides to fail completely. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_69f3cc28d95bf514

I can open the Hard.Disk

the RAW drive means the hard drive is raw, i.e not formatted. Your hard drive had a partition failure. The best way to go about this problem is to download the Easeus Partition Manager Free, and run a partition recovery procedure. Sofar there are only positive reports about Easeus, and I too have positive ones (saved 1.5TB of data just recently) so I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Once you download it and install it, the interface is quite easy to understand and easy to follow.

If this was helpful and informative please vote with a Thumb Up. Thank you.

How to download the driver

I am not familiar with Linux but have you checked your Bios to see if Sata Hard Drive is recognized in there??? Most of the time you have to set the bios to recognize a Sata drive because 90% of Hard Drives are still IDE and most bios software is still recognizing the IDE drives. I know I had to reset everything on my Motherboard and Bios when I changed over from an IDE to SATA Hard Drive.

Cant find drive

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive Test the leads that attach to your ((hard drive from the motherboard)) or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive)) make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps
