The drivers should be available in Windows. Check in BIOS to make sure your computer is recognizes the drive. Also while in the Bios and depending on your system you may to make sure the emulation is set to Hard Drive and not none. Hope this helps

the thing is when USB is connected to the system thre is a current supply to ur HDD. as every know, the computer use only digital language... so when u plugg out all of a sudden without safe remove the power goes off and thre would be intereption in data transfer and thre is a chance to be half written and the content change that is unreadable to system....... just try defragmentation of the HDD... or try the luck like this: format it and recover the data using the software RECUVA which u get from recuva.com(its free).. it worked for me many times.. so try ur luck..
