Japan label turns to american label
That sounds like a regional coding thing, check the recorders regional code to see if it is lapan or usa. if it is usa, try switching it to japan, but REMEMBER...you are only allowed so many changes to region code, and after that, you'll be stuck with whatever region your set on.

I have a Hitachi DVD
If it sat around for a while, it likely got some dust buildup on the laser lens that reads the disc. You can open up the disc slot and clean the glass laser lens eye with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.
Hitachi mini dvd cam will not eject disc, will not
This has happened to me many times. The disk has an error (they alway do).
1: Turn it off.
2: Attatch power connection.
3: Hold down eject button.
4: It should say: "DISK ACCESS"
5: It may take a long time, but put it down in this state and leave it for as long as it may take.
6: Later on, it will eject the disk.
7: Discard of this disk, it's nothing but trouble.

I have a hitachi Hi8
That is a standard IEEE cable that available anywhere. As far as you being able to produce the videos it depends on your computer and its capabilities. You have to have a firewire input on your pc and also the software that makes the dvd's. I hope this helps.

First find the format of the video.
Insert the video cd to the computer and right click the video file and the click the properties menu, watch the file type(i.e: .flv , .avi ,.wmv)

How to finalize a disc on a hitachi dz mv550
After you have recorded all the information that you would like on your disc, the process is simple, just go to the menu and pic the finalize option under the disc utilities feature. I have found that some ram disc's that come with these camcorders will not finalize so if you are using a ram disc and when you do go to the finalize feature you will see that the feature is grayed out and you cant select it. That is a good indication that the disc cannot be finalized. I hope this helps
The camcorder has only been
The problem is that the ccd ic has gone out or the lens has failed causing the iris to stay closed. It is experience with that camcorder that the ccd assy is the culprit. I hope that helps.

I have a Hitachi mega
If the camcorder does finalize the disc? What type of disc is it? Some of the disc that work in that camcorder like a ram disc will not work in a regualr dvd player, only use -r disc's if you want to make a disc to use elsewhere. The other option is that the dvd camcorder needs the dvd drive replaced if it is still available. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. There is also a firmware update available for that camcorder.

Inherited a Hitachi VMH39A 8mm
The heads on these devices are delicate, and can be easily broken by cleaning, especially with time. There are many articles on the net about tape cleaning, but if you've never done it before, you might check with a camera repair or tv shop to see what they would charge. Check a few- prices can vary greatly, and expensive doesn't always mean better.
Here is a cleaning tape you can order if you choose to try that:

Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.
