The only reason that you have to finalize a DVD-R disc is so that you can play it back in an external DVD. Once finalized, you can no longer add motion video to that particular disc. Discs that are not finalized can still be played back when inserted in the DVD-camcorder.

Please don't call me dear - it was one wild night of passion, nothing more. As I explained when we were using the camcorder on that very night, to format the disc in the camcorder, you use settings in the menu system - as to which ones, my memory is a little hazy, thanks to the wine.

The disc type is not correct, cd or dvd or blu ray or cdrw. The new disc in not empty for burning or its not empty. Worst, the laser head is busted, it can't read disc inserted so it ejects thinking it is reading the other side but not. please vote. thanks.
