Not sure how old this camera is, but it's having some serious issues. If it's a couple years old, the battery could be dying, and might need replacement. I assume the data issue is with the hard drive, and that's not good. It's not reading the video information and trying to repair it, but it could be a hardware fault, which will require servicing.
Not sure if this will help, but here is what someone had to do (from PCMag.com) in this situation:
There are a variety of other functions and features included, but none of them are particularly intuitive. For example, I had several minutes of test footage on the camcorder's hard drive. I then copied this video to a DVD in the camcorder's DVD drive. Next, I removed the miniDVD and tried to play it on a laptop computer. My video file, however, was nowhere to be found. After a little detective work, I realized that I had needed to finalize the miniDVD disc after I transferred, or "dubbed," the files from my hard drive. Then, when I popped the disc out, it played just fine on my computer. My gripe is that I wasn't aware of this problem at first, because it wasn't mentioned in the product's menu system. It took about 7 minutes to copy footage to the miniDVD disc, and then about 6 minutes to finalize it.
