If you can copy the files over to a PC, there is a free application called Audacity that you can use to edit the length of the files. Then you can reload them to the device. Audacity

The contacts and then little ball that makes contact is dirty. You have to take the actual switch apart on the remote by removing the brass pivot pin and then clean the contacts and the ball and the spring to remove contaminants and very lightly grease the contacts with an electric grease to prevent corrosion. Then reassemble and test with a new battery. Repeat as necessary

need more info. Doorbells do not need 2 xfrms. The red off 24 volt xfmr foes to door switch and returns on white. If you have 2 door switch one switch to front door label on doorbell and the 2nd goes to back door label. What is the brand and model number/ I'll try and walk you thru it.

I am in the middle of a discussion with Heath/Zenith over a closely related and perhaps identical issue. I purchased their 5718 model from Home Depot and based on the fact that their brochure stated that "CFL bulbs are only usable on 270 degree units." I purchased the model 5718 unit (270 degree) and used CFL bulbs. It experienced the same problem others noted.

The technician at Heath/Zenith told me that only DIMMABLE CFL bulbs would work with this unit (even if the DualBrite feature is turned off). Standard CFL bulbs will not work.

Their brochure does not make that clear. Perhaps that is the answer to others' problems.

By pulling it apart and following the circuit path it should be fairly apparent how to 'bridge out' the faulty PIR sensor. If it is not, or you are not sure, then (no offence), you really shouldn't be playing with it. Some units are transistor bypass and some are relay. Cheers

Adjust the timer setting under the sensor it might be set to zero you shuld adnust to about 3 minutes or desidered time if set to minimum light will stay on if this does not help change unit its faulty

many motion sensor do not work with fluro tubes as stated on the fitting instructions as it has the same affect as you turning the switch on and and on to change from auto to manual operation the problem comes from the ballast and the starter operation

Put the batteries in the door chime. To transfer an MP3 to the door chime, connect it to a computer with a USB cable. Open the folder to view files and drag the new (short, <= 20 seconds long) tune into the folder. Eject the door chime (like any USB hard drive) and remove the USB cable from the door chime. Next press the Tune button to cycle through the tunes on the door chime for the front door chime. Stop when the desired tune is played. That will be played any time the front chime is pressed. If you add the jumper to pin 8, the door chime will ding as that is the rear rear door sound. For the front door, make sure that the switches (1-7) on the push button match those for the door chime. Possibly check the outdoor push button. It may be possible that it has moisture in it causing a short.
