if the basket fills with water once you open the strainer lid then the valve is opening properly. If you open the valve and the strainer lid but you see no water flowing in then you can believe that the valve is not opening and needs to be fixed or replaced.

Same problem, brand new filter... I'm 190 lb guy who works out 6 days a week, I can't open this filter for the life of me. If I knew it would be so hard to open I'd have opted for a less expensive sand filter. Cartridge are supposed to keep the water clearer but if you can't open the filter to clean it without spraining a wrist or having a heart attack (or both) what good is it? Beyond mad, I'm thinking of just biting the bullet next spring and buying a filter that actually opens. Even the brand new Hayward chlorinator didn't work properly this past summer, i,thought they were supposed to be good products, dealing with their customer service is pointless.

the VSP error is a code from the pump and not the controller or control system. the only way to clear this is to turn the breaker for the pump off for about 30 seconds to allow the electronics to reset.

This is a very confusing questions. There are no metal parts on the CL200. Not sure what plug we are talking about.

disconnect salt cell check voltage at plug if not correct bad board if ok when disconnected bad cell or plug

error code is SF. temp sensor failure

you turn the basket one way you get flow from the skimmer and the main drain turn it and you get just skimmer turn it again you get just main drain note the bottom of the skimmer basket

Get another brand. Hayward is junk. I had the same exact thing happen. Of course warranty is only one year. I paid out of pocket to replace the motor. Guess what happened 2 years later?

see what is on the side of the pump motor it will tell what voltages are to be used if able to use 240 volts you will save money on your electric bill if it has a 120 volt plug on it you have to run at 120 volts

drill a pilot hole into plug and remove old plug. worst comes to worst, replace the bloody chlorinator!!!!!

Check bateries on control panel. Next check the relay. Batteries in hand held too.

low pressure ,MEAN low water pressure going to the unit or low pressure refrigerant is heat pump correct ?

what type the heater is communicating to aqualogic control is RAYPAK digital 2100 ? also go to outside where the aqualogic control is and look for diagnostic in control look for water temperature sensor connecedt to aqualogic and see what that say,

Hayward is junk. Go with something else.

If it's a hairline crack just patch from the outside. Use an epoxy glue. I've done the same with copper fittings. Works like a charm.
