No sound
Hi, My Harley Davidson lamp stopped working a couple of years ago with no sound, night light and the lights on the motorcycle all stopped working but only the main light worked, so I have just taken it apart to see the problem. (fed up it didn't work) I checked the fuse and it was OK so I removed it and its board, I also removed the transformer, then used my multimeter set to ohms and checked the transformer (RED) input wires and got a zero reading, no resistance tells me the primary winding had burnt out. The (BLUE) output wires did have resistance which tells me the secondary winding was OK. I de-soldered the Red and Blue wires and bought a new similar transformer from eBay soldered it in and the lamps and sound now works as it should

lots of bike problems come down to the battery or its leads. If the total electrics went I suspect the positive or earth may have a faulty contact or dry joint. get the battery load tested in the interim to eliminate it then have the leads thoroughly inspected.
