#1 Remove the stand mount off the back of the monitor
#2 Remove the 4 screws in the corners of the monitors
#3 The monitor is now only held together with builtin plastic claw clips. They are connected to the back piece and hook onto the face piece. Use a flat object, I use a small screwdriver, to ress against the clip at the seam of the monitor. There are 3 clips down each short side, and 4 on the top and bottom. You can see a tiny marker showing each clip location at the seam. So press against the clip and gently pry the two pieces open holding it slightly open until you can spring the next clip....and so on, on each clip until it is open.
#4 once open remove the 4 lugs at the video connectors
#5 remove the two sheet metal screws.
#6 sit back realizing those clips hold the plastic together so well that screw are just overkill after that. :P

hey, to unlock osd press and hold the volume down "<" the volume up ">" and "menu" all at once then the osd will unlock

There may have been a software driver for your monitor for windows Vista to set the correct parameters

Best guess, since they all seem to be different as i have access to two Hanns brand monitors and both are a different size, its most likely a 4, 5, or 6mm. The only way to find out for sure is get some screws and try it, just pay attention to the length, too long and it might not tighten up or damage something internally. They are usually pretty short, looking at the ones i have i would say the screws are maybe 8mm in length max.

press and check menu buttons by pressing button (auto adjust).also adjust screen resolution lowest and refresh rate

it seems like a fault with the power saver or economic mode whatever named on that set, try to disable that function to see if the issue is resolved or not.

We need some information about your setup and exactly what menus you are accessing to give an accurate response.
Laptop or desktop?
Which operating system ? Windows, Linux, mac ? Version numbe?
What preference dialogue window did you access ? One for video inputs settings perhaps?
- the black screen “ lag” sounds like the system trying connect to a different port but fails to find signal and reverts back

Sooner or later it will not work at all. Time to go shopping - not worth fixing. Go ebay for great prices on used/new units. eBayeBay

that's a missing pixel which the FCC allows up to 4 pixels to be gone and not considered defective

The problem is the program for the graphics card is stored on a 16K serial eeprom which is used as a rom this can get corrupted which causes the problems you are experiancing.
I have repaired three of these monitors by re-flashing the eeprom with a program cloned from a working monitor all worked fine after refashing.
Now the bad news as the eeprom is used as a rom it is write protected on the board so the only way to program it is to remove it flash it with a valid program and then replace it easy if you are a surface mount expert.and have a serial eeprom programmer.

I have a similar problem.
Switching the screen off (front panel button) and on again after waiting a few seconds fixes it.
This is a recent problem, so I'm expecting it to get worse and worse until one day!!!!!!
