Once I unplugged, pulled away from wall, cleaned components area, plugged back in, all was back to normal!

Open the terminal box ontop of the compressor. Check if there is a thermistor inside. If there is, check the continuity. If the continuity is alright, check the winding resistance of the compressor. If the winding resistance is good, then the fault is in the controls.

remove the back metal panel and unscrew the top fan and unplug the terminal the cable plugged into the board. I spread disc brake cleaner and then wd-40 into the coil area with a fan spins. manually spin the fan with your finger a few times to get the lubricant evenly distributed. I had the same with my top fan and if the same

Does it run constantly? If so, an easy test fix is to go to WalMart and buy a timer that cycles in half hour intervals. Play with the on/off settings and see if that stops it from freezing up. May be the thermostat, which is a fairly easy fix. May be low on Freon.

try replacing the thermostat. It is a metal tube.

Normal to have a bit of ice. Set the temp to 0 for a few hours every week. Check Seal is good all round the door.

try replacing the termo sensor.

You may have had a power surge or outage while you were gone. The temp sensor may have failed or the control board may have failed. Either way, the code means that the temp in the frig is not the temp that it is set to be.

Our magic chef wine cooler (mcwc50dbt) when temp is set on digital panel at 45-50 it jumps immediately back to 70 degrees constantly

Mr. Lindquist: We are experiencing essentially the same problem. Have tried replacing the temperature control board without change. Would be interested to know if you get a solution.

Check your thermostat setting, if the setting is ok then something wrong with your thermostat control.

How is temperature adjustment set for proper cooling,my Haier holds [9] btls of wine ,please help.

Is this the round type capacitor? Do you see a part number on the capacitor?

HI sally.well wine coolers r not rocket science.your local engineer should be able to at least diagnose the problem...lets c if u can do it ok?(still getting power )u mean light comes on or u mean it runs but dont get cold?well haier is not the best but if it's done 7 years is not bad:).ok...1-check if it makes any noise or is completely quiet.if no sound feel the motor (compressor).hot or cold.if cold it could be the thermostat or motor.if hot running or not it could be refrigerant or motor.needs visual.hope this helps.ALI

You can find manuals out there on the web. When I look for the part the only thing that made sense was the control board in the lower rear of these coolers, and doesn't seam to be adjustable. Then there are the buttons on the top front, but not sure if the stat is serviceable by itself.
