If this is like mine then loading a bit more media in to the basket may help pad it out and make it stick, if not the a weight of natural material might do the job.

A 306 should be quite strong, first check the flow regulator is fully open, check that the filter motor is the right way round on the filter bucket, check hoses, inlets and outlets for obstructions, try running without media in the filter bucket. Best to try this stuff in the bath!!!

Sections of tanks can be replaced BUT you would have to get a specialist to do it as even a tank that size has to take a huge amount of weight on the glass and joints. A 36 gallon tank, when full has over 300lbs, (136kg),of weight on the base. It might be cheaper and easier to replace the whole tank.
