Turns over is getting fuel, but will not start
Probably didn't use it for months. Fuel shut off solenoid piston probably stuck closed.
1.Disconnect battery.
2.Disconnect the red and black wires going to solenoid.
3.The solenoid screws into the bottom of float bowl, remove.
4.Unscrew the fuel jet.
5.Spray some solvent on to the piston.
6.Use a small rod or pin to push the piston down to free it.

I have a guardian quietpact
This is likely a problem with the voltage regulator or the wiring. If this unit has brushes/sliprings for field excitation check the condition of those.
Hello, I installed my 10
I had to find out through a Generac Service Tech that the Idle screw needs to be turned down so it doesnt surge. I found this out after a surge blew $400 worth of electronics out in my home. I have a surge protector now I recommend you do the same. DG

My generator Model05284 will not
Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. First off I am not in this for the money. My only goal is to help you resolve your problem. Check your line sensing coil lead connections. The transfer switch sensing coil and transfer relay are the 2 main causes of this failure. However.. the control panel control board can also cause this problem. Make sure you inspect the control board for any signs of corrosion and a swollen capacitor. The top of the capacitor should be flat. If it is raised at all then the cap is failing. Make sure you have the full 12VDC across teminals 23 and 194 of the control panel terminal board during any power transfers. If the voltage drops below 10VDC the coil may not transfer power. If you do note a voltage of less than 12VDC start checking for frayed wire conductors at connection points / terminals and any signs of corrosion.
Lastly if you have an indoor type transfer switch and it is mounted outside... the transfer swtich assy may be starting to fail.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My generac generator propane
If it has an "no load" idle feature turn that off and then see if it still has this problem.
Otherwise, Is it outside? The LP regulator may be sticking.

I have a generac 50G.
Hello,
This is the easiest way, get a hand held power drill and plug it into one of the 120 volt recepticals. Make sure all the cicut breakers are pushed in before you do this. OK here is the trick, with the generator running, pull the trigger on the drill and spin it hard BACKWARDS. You must keep the trigger pulled and DONT hangonto the chuck after you spin it......... It will just take off spinning. If it doesnt work at first do it again, if it does not work, make sure you are spinning it as fast as you can. If the drill motor does not just take off after three attemps, you might have a bad diode that needs to be replaced.
Hope this works, Let me know :)

My generac 40g rv generator will start fine but no
It may be demagnetised. If you turn off the generator before unplugging the load this may happened. Try to put a strong magnet (like those from loudspeakers) in contact with the body of alternator. I do this in the past and it work.If you do not know how to do this ask an electrician, he can help you .
I have a new Guardian 40G generator that won't
Try to measure the voltage at the connector when trying to start.
If it is 12 V and the engine does not start - disconnect it and try again.
Have in mind that you must have protections (Shut down):
- Low oil level;
- Low oil pressure;
- High temperature.
and this valve may be responsible for them.
Each time I run the microwave all power shuts off
In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or
perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for
safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man.
Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before
proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the
price of a new one.
