2004 gmc yukon denali w/ 6000 vortec. Transmission seems to work fine except it won't go back into park.

From experience from a 05 Cadillac Deville that my pops had when he couldn't turn the car off for him be able to remove the key from the ignition, we found out that one of the transmission sensor that control the gearbox had went bad causing the transmission to malfunction. That sensor is more likely the answer to your problem. Dealer charge $500 to replace, if not more. Hope this will help you out..

2004 Yukon XL Denali - front passenger door lock, mirror, and window all lost power at same time and remote control for door locks stopped working. is there a fuse for this?

There is no common fuse for each of those. Example: the fuse for the door lock would affect all the locks...same for Windows and mirrors. There is, however a common plug in the wiring of the door. It may be inside the body you will have to trace it back

How do I close a 2003 Envoy sunroof?

I suggest you remove the sunroof fuse and check in the manual for the emergency closing procedure. Often cars with a sliding sunroof are supplied with a small handle for the emergency closing if the power fails. Usually only a couple of screws need removing to access the drive socket.

Having problems with heater blower what could it be

I have an idea, but you might wish to call a GMC dealer and check it out. For many years, the heater & defrosters of GM vehicles have used a vacuum source to operate the systems. If that is your problem, the vehicle needs to build up a vacuum in the lines before the heater or defroster will work. It could be a vacuum leak causing the delay. A leak could cause the system of hoses to lose vacuum after you shut it off, and it is building that vacuum back up when you start the car. Repairing the vacuum leak could be quite expensive, as it could require taking the dashboard apart to fix it. God bless our efforts.

Car would not lock with remote fob tried to start the car, the key turned but the vehicle was completely shut down. later tried the fob again and the lights blinked, car started

the fob may need a new battery or need to be replaced. If the fob did not properly deactivate the immobiliser, for whatever reason, then your car would not start. I would have the battery replaced , don't do it yourseld on this occassion, and as a precaution fill the vehicle's battery with electrolute and recaharge it See what happens

2004 Yukon 6.0 V8 instrument cluster problem

No DTC'S stored any modules ? Any parasitic drain on the battery ? Does scan tool communicate with the instrument cluster ? Do you know about GM power modes
  1. Access the Class 2 Power Mode in the Diagnostic Circuit Check on the scan tool.
  2. Rotate the ignition switch through all positions while observing the Ignition Switch Power Mode parameter.
Does the Ignition Switch parameter reading match the ignition switch position for all switch positions? What type scan tool are you using ? Can yours communicate with all the modules on the vehicle ? Select the display DTCs function on the scan tool for the following control modules: ?€¢ Transfer Case Electronic Control (TREC)

?€¢ Body Control Module (BCM)

?€¢ Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)

?€¢ Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)

?€¢ Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

?€¢ Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

Does the scan tool display any DTCs for the control modules listed above? Does the scan tool display any DTCs which begin with a "U"?

My 4x4 won't engage on my 98 Jimmy. Think it's a problem inside the front differential possibly.

there should be a solenoid on a front differential it could be electrical or could be vacuum operated but I would check there. I had an issue with my brother in laws 4x4 and we change the solenoid and everything worked fine
