Does it have manual or automatic climate control system ? Vin C or K 4X4 or 2WD ? Heat shuts off ???? You mean the heater blower motor stops blowing air out of the vents ?

The reason the light is flashing constantly is because the vehicle is sensing that four wheel drive(4WD) is not working. These 4WD systems use vacuum from the engine to engage/disengage to front axle. The vehicle probably has no vacuum going to the front axle, which would not allow the 4WD shift to complete, which would then leave the light on the dash flashing.
First thing to check is that the vacuum actuator on the firewall is working as it should.

All depends on what engine you have, but if you have a distributor it is at the base of the rotor mount inside of the cap.

Yes , disconnecting the battery will disable air bags . wait 10 min. after for the capacitors inside the air bag control module to dissipate charge .

I think you could use this manual method instead.. My nephew use it to repair my car and it's totally repaired now. Here's the website he bought it from. reliable-store

Remove the distributor cap while cranking, see if the rotor turn. If not then the distributor gear is worn (need to replace the gear).
The ignition module could defect. Need to check the ignition module for power and ground and a bypass signal at the module.

Hope it helps.

If the PCM receives a signal that the coolant sensor is cold then the idle will be high.
IAC valve could be stuck open and not retracting. Check signal at 4 wires(open circuit). If ok change the IAC valve.
Warning; don't try to retract the pintle by hand.

Hope it helps.

Check at injector wire with a test anoid light blinking while cranking engine if there is a signal to the injectors.
The + signal is from a FUSE.
and the - signal is from the ECM.
If it's an ECM problem, before changing it. Check all positive and ground at ECM pinout check.

Hope it helps.

Hope it helps.

You need to retrieve transmissions faulty code with a scanner.
It looks like The PCM (powertrain control module) is in limping mode. It is the default mode when there is a faulty Transmission or engine code.

Hope it helps.

Sounds like a bad ignition key module. Should be on the steering column hidden under some trim.
