It sounds like it has been mis-wired. The circulator pump should run all the time the boiler is on and should continue to run when heat is called for so it circulates the water in the radiators as it cools. There is normally an electronic valve that shuts flow to the radiators when only hot water is needed. Call for heat and that valve opens. A leading cause of poor drying results in that type of dryer is lint build up in the blower/lint filter housing. That build up will restrict air flow through the dryer causing very long dry times. To repair that the front panel would need to be removed and clean all the lint build up from that housing and blower wheel area.

To remove the front panel DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DRYER, on the bottom of the dryer inside of the door rim will be 2 phillips headed screws,remove those and lift off the top. At the top corners where the front panel connects to the cabinet will be 2 more phillips headed screws remove those and the front panel will pull off and out of the way. With the front panel off the blower housing will be in the lower left side clean lint from it and also the sure to clean all the lint from the lint filter housing which will be attached to the back side of the front panel. In addation to cleaning that area be sure to check and clean the exhaust duct tube as well.

I found my manual...simplified version: 1) On the panel - press the manual button 3 times until Auto is lit - the remote can now be used 2) press on - on the remote 3) press the desired time (2, 4, 6 or 8 hours) on the remote 4) press repeat on, on the remote Timer should be set!! =) Pressing auto off wipes out anything that was programmed!! I had the same problem. The valve is not seating properly. I first took a plastic bag and placed it over the unit so it didn't spray all over, then, pushed the button several times to try to flush it. I then shut the water supply off (or move lever to bypass) and removed the cannister that holds the filter. I activated the red button several times until it looked like it seated well. Keep as much water in the cannister(sump) as you can and still have the filter seated properly. Screw it back on, and open the water supply slowly to fill the rest of the way. Don't push the red button again, but instead open a faucet in your house for around 5 minutes to let air circulate out. If the red button still leaks, you may have to try a few times. If it leaks just a little it may stop after a day or so. Once you get the red button to stop leaking, don't push it again! Just always use the open faucet method to work the air out. There will still be some air bubbles for awhile, but will work out within a day

GE knows there is a problem with this and will send a serviceman out with parts to fix free of charge even if you are out of warranty as I was. Just call them at 888-443-4394

check the continuity and correct working of the door switch and also the main On/Off switch.

First try turning the knob all the way to "pilot" then turn it all the way to its hottest setting.

It sounds like the thermostat/sensor is stuck. This may jar it into working again.

Also look for any leakage or water around the burner.

You will probably have to replace the gas valve in the near future.

Also try tapping the side of the gas valve.

A fuse might of had blown or a there is a problem with the circuit breaker. Or the motor cold be broken for the washing machine the main control board could be having issues that controls the washing machine and allows it to work.

Question edited for clarity. Better known as 'space saving' washing machines, they are a compromise at best. Try presoaking the clothes overnight. Do longer programs. Try changing detergents. Wash twice.
