General Electric Washer Model# whre5550h1ww makes a clacking sound in wash cycle about i se

There is a known problem with this GE model. Remove the front panel, look at the base plate below the motor. Can you see that it has been rubbing there? On that model the "front apron bracket" fails allowing the motor to rub againist the base. You will need to replace the apron with the new design they have out. Here is the part to order. You may also check this by removing the front and run a load of wash and watch the motor. Please post back your finding to me.

Lock displaying symbol

Haven't done this exact model but usually it means keypad locked (child lock) should be in the manual how to unlock. Usually hold down a couple of buttons for 5sec.( most of the time a faint lock symbol will be written between the buttons on the button panel.)

Will not rinse,i have to

Use vinegar in lieu of fabric softener!!! It not only is cheaper, but it will NOT cause the clothes to smell like a Caesar salad, it removes 99.9% of detergent, it softens the clothes, and its much better for people with sensitivities.

Ge wbvh5200j3ww

Hi Jennifer,Here is a link to the USER'S MANUAL for that model of washer:http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90392-2.pdfJust click on the underlined text above to view an electronic copy of the manual. On page 8 of that manual you will see instructions related to the LOCK feature on your washer. It says that to LOCK or UNLOCK the washer, just hold down the DELAY START button for 3 seconds. The lock icon on the display should then disappear. If that does not work for your model, then try holding down the SIGNAL button for 3 seconds. One of these two procedures should solve your problem.Hope that helps.Take care and thank you for using FIXYA.Joe.
