Check to see if the bale is caught on an ice cube. The bale senses the level of ice cubes in the bin. Sometimes an ice cube will get stuck, keeping the bale up which stops the whole ice making process. Sometimes this will cause the water feed to freeze. If you can get at any of the tube to feel if it is frozen (crunchy ice inside) hit it with a not-too-hot hair dryer.

could be a number of things. maybe broken belt or control / timer issue, or drain pump obstructed

This can be caused by two things.

Door Gaskets that need replacing.

A blocked defrost drain. This is located at the rear of the cabinet and is normally a small trough with a drain hole. Clean it with a piece of wire, wash the trough and put a tablespoon of bleach down it.

A refrigerator. or freeze has to be kept in a vertical position or fluids in the compressor can seep into the wrong place and freeze up the compressor. liquids will not compress. A compressor replacement will probably fix it.

There are two coils and they are the evaporator and the condensor. GE likes to call the evaporator the " Low side coil." Both coils are inside the case, the condensor is rolled into a cage shape and has a fan on one end of the cage, The evaporator is behind the inside back wall of the freezer. The condensor you can see through the back cover on the bottom. This might not have anything to do with cleaning the coilss, they can become iced over on the evaporator, the evaporator fan can fail, the compressor can fail to start.

If nothing was spilled into the vents on the back side of the unit, then some internal electric parts is going bad. There are dangerous high voltage parts inside melting themselves to ***** and it will die soon, so throw it away before you have a fire.
