the menu will take you to registering the hand sets to the base unit by deleting incoming calls you have disconnected from the line follow the instructions in the user manual to get reconnected if you do not have the user manual , go google and type in --user manual for ge ( model ) cordless phone --and down load the pdf version

Try the "rice trick."

Does it have a battery backup? If so, after disconnecting the AC power adapter, remove the battery for 15 minutes, then re-insert it (make sure it is a good battery), plug the AC adapter back in, and try again. Hopefully, this will re-set it. If not, it probably isn't worth tryiing to repair. May have to buy a new phone.

read the user manual as the handsets have to be registered by the base unit to be connected the main base is the operational unit the other bases are just cradles to hold the phone while it is being charged

Try to disconnect power then reconnect.
