You can't modify gas appliances.

I have an early 1970s GE, and we keep saying when it breaks down, we will replace it, but apart from replacing elements, it just goes on and on. Unfortunately, neither of your numbers give results. I had two elements flashing "F" the correction was turning off the cooktop breaker and returning it to ON. Simple fix.

It is a gas appliance. From the installation manual. Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier. It needs to come out as there is almost certainly fixings from below. Screws on the burners, only hold the burner rings down. Same here. ALWAYS happens when I boil a whole chicken. Goes off & starts flashing about 3/4 thru. I just assumed it's to hot for to long. it's glass top. Anybody know?

I have a stove that doesn't light (click) I've replaced the igniters, I've replaced the knobs, and I've replace the box all the igniters and plugged into. There's nothing else to change out and it still doesn't give a spark. I've got gas and electricity but nothing will light

Take out the right front burner and use your multimeter to check it for continuity. Only then can you be sure that the error code isn't lying to you. It is my guess, that with an error message so specific, that if no burners are working, it is not the front right burner at all. Hands on testing is the only way to be sure. F152 means the right front burner has failed, the sensor in it is bad, the burner will need to be replaced.

do an online search or if a repair shop in area order from them

Turn off the gas,unplug the power.
Take the cooktop out of the cutout and support it on the countertop.
Remove all grates and valve knobs.
Remove all screws from the valves and the burners.
Remove the burner base plates.
You may have screw on the side holding the top to the base,if so,remove these too.
The top will separate from the bottom exposing your parts.

Ceramic cooktops need the correct type of pots or they leave marks,check your instruction manual.

Are the burners uniform around top? Pictures show that there is a slot on one side. The tech is probably right.. You are not the only person complaining about this. Call back and see if there is a different burner that will fit you stove.

if the knobs wont turn, the cooker needs to be serviced by a gas engineer the gas taps are seized they need gas tab grease

You will need a serviceman for this one as it is a serious problem.

note: rr is right rear, lf is left front and so on.

Usually this indicates a problem with the elements or worse - electronics (if it's the electronic version).

Be sure all caps are on correctly, then make sure the igniter is clean. Try using a tooth brush with soft scrub around the igniter, rinse, dry and try it always unplug electricity before attempting to repair on any electrical appliance

most likely the keypad is defective.

You can find knobs on e-bay for that cooktop. They are about $8.00 each and break as easy as the original. I fixed mine by making metal sleeves to press on the shank on the bottom of the knobs. It's an advantage to have a metal cutting lathe at home.
