Hi, my GE model DBXR463ED1WW dryer is LOUD!

Roaring could be an over firing burner or fan related. Squeak or rumbles are bearings. Is the noise all the time or only when the burner is on? Eric

Have something stuck in between the drum and my dryer wall. Please help. I'm sure I can fix it myself if I had the instructions.

Question moved form GE Land Phones. Is it clothes like a sock or underwear? Take a wire coat hanger and un-twizzle it with pliers. Pull the door gasket back a bit and slip the hooked end between the inner and outer drum. Pull the item to the front. You can turn the drum to help the item catch onto the hook.

How do you clear CL error on GE dryer

CL usually indicates that the Child Lock (control panel lock) has been enabled. This is useful when you clean the control panel. It also keeps someone from accidentally starting the dryer with a pet or another child in the dryer. This is toggled on and off by pressing and holding two buttons. There is usually a line between the buttons with a padlock symbol in the middle or above that line. The phrase Control Lock or To Lock Control will be below the line. The symbol and text will be in a small font. On some GE dryers, press and hold the Extended Tumble and - buttons for 3+ seconds. The CL indicator should flash while you unlock the control panel and then go off when you've held the buttons for sufficiently long. Note: if you hold the buttons for too long, you will re-enable the lock. For the GE Profile DPGT650EHWW, press and hold Dry Level and Temp for the 3+ seconds. See page 6 of the Use and Care manual here: https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-Profile-7-1-Cu-Ft-King-size-Capacity-High-Efficiency-Electric-Dryer-DPGT650EHWW . I hope this helps. If you need help finding the control panel lock key, please add a comment with the model of your dryer. Cindy Wells

GE Dryer GFD45ESSM1WW turn off after less than a minute

Check out the videos Esther. That is normally caused by an overheating issue, and that is always cause by lack of airflow. Check the pipes at the back and the outside vent for birds nests and lint build up. https://www.google.com/search?q=ge+dryer+gfd45essmww+disassembly .Why does my GE dryer keep shutting off? Most likely, a thermal overload switch is shutting down the dryer because it's getting too hot or the motor is overworking. A gas dryer can get too hot if the vent is clogged and, eventually, this can damage the motor. Or the overload switch itself can go bad. The timer can be broken, too.Feb 24, 2020

GE Elec dryer Model #DBXR453EV0WW No Start

Number 1 tip. TURN OFF THE MAINS POWER. You are dealing with 220 volts at 30 amps. That part is a simple mechanical timer. Get out your multimeter and check the switch for continuity and correct operation. Then go and check the fuse or breaker. A dead short like that should have tripped it out or blew the fuse. If it was an electronic machine, it would have required a new control board. https://www.google.com/search?q=M460-G+572D520P018&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwinst_ssYj2AhVMhHIEHRv9A5AQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=M460-G+572D520P018&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQAzIHCCMQ7wMQJ1AAWABg9wxoAHAAeACAAViIAViSAQExmAEAqgELZ3dzLXdpei1pbWfAAQE&sclient=img&ei=Fh0PYqfPG8yIytMPm_qPgAk&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644 ..

I am having a problem with my Ge dryer catching my

it may be snagging clothes on a sharp edge or flashing on the plastic light assembly overhead of the door. you might just need to take a small piece of fine sandpaper and remove the burr or sharp edge thats snagging stuff..

also one or both of the rollers in the front may be worn, allowing the drum to bear down on the seal more, opening a gap at the bottom to grab your clothes then pulling them around with it, you just happen to catch it when its stopped and sitting still just hanging there.. while u have it apart u might as well check the rest of the rotating parts out for wear, etc and replace while you have it opened up..
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Crumbly black flecks in dryer, on clothes

first off get a new lint filter part number WE18X53 and it's around 20 to 30 dollars depending on where you buy it,now when you say you cleaned the dryer do you mean you cleaned just where the clothes go into or did you unplug it and take it apart and clean it out?if you look at the inside back wall you'll see holes,on g.e. dryers lint builds up behind the drum and the heat shield, you can try vacumming the lint out of the holes but the best way is to pull the drum, clean the back of the drum out where i was just telling you about, vacing out the cabinet where the motor is and then blow off the motor and cabinet with the shop vac the other side of it blows air and clean out the duct where the lint filter is and clean out the door, then blow out the vent line,if the line is long you can remove it from the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower,it sounds like the dryer never has had a clean out,i know you most likely will have to call some one in to do this but for now with a shop vac set it up to blow, remove the lint filter and blow all the lint out of the duct, blow it for a few seconds the vac up the lint and do it again until it's clean, then vac the back of the drum,if you put a light in the drum you can see the lint through the holes, you can try blowing through the holes to lossen the lint and then vac it out and see if that helps but the dryer has to be taken apart and cleaned so you don't have a fire, this should be done at least once a year if it's gas and once every 1 1/2 to 2 years if electric, this way your clothes will dry on time and mostly so you don't have a fire. also when it's pulled apart you can check all the parts to make sure nothing has to be changed out like the rear bearing and rollers and pulley, also check the heater to make sure it's not sagging after a while on electric dryers the heater coils can sag down and short out, when you have it apart you can tighten them up and bend them up into shape again, hope this helps and good luck with your machine.

How do you take front off of GE gfdr270eh0ww front load dryer?

On most dryers the top piece of the main cabinet pops off. It is held on with clips and it can be a challenge to remove without scratching the paint. Once this is done you can see the bolts that hold the front section to the frame or the rest of the cabinet.

I have a GE electric motor 5kcr49tn2262y. Can you tell me what capacitors fits it.

Simply the same as the one that is on it now. That type of information is not available. If you take it to a motor rewinds company, they will do it for you and test it.

GE 5 cycle automatic heavy duty dryer

Turn off the electricity to the dryer.Try spraying the belt with automotive belt dressing inside that goes around the bucket.. If that does not work it is probably the bushing at the back of the dryer. you will have to remove the bucket to grease the bushing.if it is still good. judging by your details it seems good. But it could be dry.Needs lubrication.

Power button broke gfdn240el1ww

There are two main pieces to the front panel for the GFDN240EL1WW dryer-- the plastic panel and the circuit board. The actual replacement part is: Control Panel WE19M1687. The panel can be purchased for from places like partselect.com or repairclinic.com or Amazon or even EBay, etc. for $100-$200+. The power button is just a piece of plastic mounted to another piece of plastic; it is not electronic. When pushed, it presses against the circuit board, which then turns the unit on/off. When the power button breaks, it typically means the little plastic button has broken off from the plastic panel. Most likely, the problem is the mount point for the button and the button is actually re-usable. A cheaper quick-fix is to:
  • Remove top screw from back of the front panel
  • Remove main front knob from the panel
  • Remove screw from behind the front knob
  • Grab both sides of the front panel and push/pull up to remove the panel
  • Disconnect the block connector (power) from the circuit board after removing the panel
  • Locate the power button and mounting position
  • Inspect to see if it looks like you can glue the button back into place
  • Buy a small tube of loctite Stik'n Seal Ultra Universal Adhesive
  • Put some Stik'n Seal on the button mounting point for the power button (be generous)
  • Press the button onto the mounting point and hold for a few minutes
  • Add more Stik'n Seal around the edges of the mounting point and the button mount after you have held the button in place long enough so that it sticks
  • Let the whole thing dry for several hours (instructions on the adhesive say 24hrs
  • If you are worried about the button staying seated while the adhesive sets, you can always try tape it into place
  • When dry, replace the front panel by reversing the steps above used to remove the panel: connect the power block, slide the panel back into place, replace the front screw and knob, replace the top screw in the back of the panel
