GE 169164 coffee maker problem

*** HOW TO RESET THE GE 169164 COFFEE MAKER ***

After endless online searches yielding the same results (nothing useful), I figured out how to reset this coffee maker.

While coffee maker is plugged in and the evil little blue light is mocking you relentlessly, press and hold the 1-4 button and the TSB button simultaneously for 3 seconds or so. This will cause the device to exit it's error status and allow normal use of it.

I need a longer power cord for my GE 12 cup

Hi, My advice is don't make the cord too long. they can heat up and start on fire if its too long.
You can get a power bar and screw it to the under side of the cupboard. good luck

I think the sump pump motor is broken. the water does not drain after a wash. approx 3" of water remains. Is this a sump pump issue and can it be repaired or should i buy a new dishwasher?

I have had the same problem with a brand new one,I called the engineer on this one as I could not do it on my own due to a stroke,he found a small piece of glass inside the pump not allowing it to run freely, I would check the pump if it is rotating first, you may have to take the pump apart to see if there are any bits in there, don't forget there will be water left in the hose, lay the hose out to remove the water and don't forget to unplug the machine first and turn off the water supply to it. I hope that saves a new washer cheers eric

Cleaning inside tank

putting vinegar in the tank OCCASIONALLY wil help to keep the tank and associated tubes clean, but it shold be noted that doing this too often will corrode the aluminum tubing used in the coffee maker. put about a cup and 11/2 of vinegar in the tank and run the coffee maker, followed bu a double run of pure water to clean out the vinegar. should only be done about once a year as vinegar is a mild acid.
