My hard drive access indicator

No offense, but Honestly that is to vague of a question. Those symptoms sound normal for a slow computer. You should consider how much you have to put towards upgrading your computer, if it is too slow for you. Taking your computer into a service center like geek squad or a local computer specialist would allow access to tools that are required to assess the underlying issue or performance.
Using online tools to identify computer issues is extremely dangerous to your data due to possibility of downloading malware and viruses if you are not familar with identifying risks. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/chris_51d7c1b240c21e38

Gateway pa6 fan problems

old post. odd symptoms. the OP never once told the full story what works good and not. XP runs? surely it can, 0.4% 2016 run XP world wide and way less now 2018, due to virus magnet status. do not run XP , and the fan is not XP job. BIOS runs the fans. if the PC runs at 56C or so and the fans slow that is normal The bios only speeds up facts at start, the slows them and monitors CPU heat and GPU heat if they rise too high the fans spin up. this is how all PC run my fancy desktop has 600rpm fans right now, due to cool running CPU. 4 pin fans can do that magic. The reason for the fast spin up is easy to learn turned on fresh. the PC ASSUMES the chip are hot. say PC parked in a trunk at 120F the you go indoors and turn it on so to be safe, it runs them fast (like at BIOS machine code instruction 1 or first. it spins them up then watches CPU temps live. this can take a few seconds to do a scan, see a TREND if the trend show low, temps, it then uses a PWM fan table in the BIOS, and set the fan speed off that hard coded table) get that? now say PC was hot turned on then it slows only if fast fans speeds can lower the CPU temp then rule 2 and 3 on BIOS CPU temps if bios does not like say 80C it can turn itself off. if failing to do that, say fan is dead, learn that ALL CPUs from P4 up can turn them selves off they HALT. ALL AMD and intel CPU do that. ok? and did you really clean it is the RAD clean.? http://www.pcdied.com/overheated.html

Will the gateway 4380g support the A10 6700 apu

DX4380g , you forgot to say DX? the Desktop PC? why not ask gateway (acer.com) they made it, they support it, (if do this old) and they can tell you. APU, auxiliary power unit?? I guess you meant , A10 AMD CPU? ? Socket FM2 processors. it will not help you, ok, so do not spend money here. no reason giving by you, gaming, dreams with weak PC? each PC made has a qualified, CPU support list. (for SURE)' best is to ask them first, ok? every one, but does ACER? they are the underdog of PCs. IDK all they have is here, under DX http://www.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/drivers-downloads no qualified memory page. no qualified cpu page acer stinks in my book. first things first. first is what, does the mobo have a socket. seems yes, but what socket is there. says FM2. yes. newly made had AMD A6-5400K 3.60GHz 1MB so can a A10 work, IDK. ask acer. not much there, but do ask, maybe someone and dig deep in acers bowls. https://community.acer.com/en/search?adv=1&search=DX4380g&title=&author=&cat=all&subcats=1&archived=1&tags=&discussion_d=1&discussion_question=1&discussion_poll=1&comment_c=1&comment_answer=1&within=1+day&date=

I have a 19 inch

I see that this monitor has a DVI input, in additon to the VGA input. I suggest getting a suitable cable to use the DVI input, to see if the fault replicates. If it doesn't, you have identified the problem - an issue with the analogue signal processeing circuitry in either the monitor or the computer. The monitor's auto sleep analogue circuitry, for example, may not be sensing a signal, and going to sleep. BTW, if you use a DVI-DVI cable, you avoid the video signal ever going through an analogue stage, and the image will also be purer.

Acer Gateway it is, (owned by too) NO OS stated, why in the world post lacking such key fact? my guess , you forgot and not its dead. so reload the OS, or F8 safe mode, load the gateway driver, from gateway.com go there get it and put it on a USB stick then in F8 go to device manager, and click update video chip, there, and pick my driver from my media option , go to usb stick and load your driver. i the internet is dead, now. use F8 Safe mode, with internet, then click driver update on video chip and it updates from MS.com using PnP plug and pry. but again NO OS stated, i can see its XP,vista,w8 for sure but which one? what did PC come with did you upgrade the PC's OS ever. or buy w7 from MS.com and load it. Gateway does not sell old install disc's, no OEM does.

How to troubleshoot Gateway wireless keyboard and mouse?

If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard and mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless keyboard and mouse.
  1. Make sure the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Some systems ship with the receiver already preinstalled in the unit itself. Please check your mouse to see if there is a receiver inside of the battery compartment door.
  2. Make sure wireless keyboard is not on a metallic surface.
  3. Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices.
  4. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.
  5. Check the batteries in the keyboard and mouse to make sure they are installed correctly.
  6. Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.
  7. Verify the On/Off switch on the keyboard and mouse are switched to On.
  8. Some receivers, keyboards, and mice may have a connect button. If so, follow the steps below:
    1. Plug the USB receiver into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    3. Press the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard to activate the wireless connection.
    4. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    5. Press the connect button on the bottom of the mouse to activate the wireless connection.

Can open Yahoo account inof

can you login? sometimes yahoo servers just don't work either. i used to use Yahoo but they kept changing formats for mail, browser look, etc. without notifying people. Then they have so many problems they keep failing to work! I would give up, sync to Microsoft mail or Google. THey rarely are down or have problems and if updates are coming, they notify you before hand.

Processing auto configuration keeps coming up on

First check to see that all of the cables are connected and fastened in tightly between the monitor and computer using the tiny handscrews on them at the monitor side and on the video card where it connects to your computer. Also, the resolution detection circuitry in the monitor could be going bad, or you could have a bad video cable connecting it to the computer, or lastly, the video card in your computer could be going bad. A few separate things you can try: 1. If you have a spare video cable, connect using the spare cable to the monitor and the computer to see if this corrects the issue. 2. If you have another monitor, I would connect it to see if you continue to have video issues. 3. Consider buying a new monitor.

My touchpad quit working on my Gateway NV57H26u. I haven't had an external mouse plugged in for a while when this happened. It also seemed to happen right when my computer went into sleep mode so

Generally on the keyboard there is a touch pad on/off hotkey. If you didn't change it, it should be the "Fn" and "F7" in combination.

DC Jack connection to motherboard

Normally this would be an easy fix if it had a cable style dc jack, but this model is soldered to the mother board. I have done 100's of them and will tell you that unless you know how to use that soldering iron correctly then perhaps you may want to take it to a shop to have It repaired. Before you even start look at the location that the DC jack goes to make sure there is no damage to the mother board. That is not a normal DC jack either, there are 9 locations that need to be soldered. I would suggest to take it to a repair shop
