Refrigerator does not get cold nor the freezer side
could be a host of problems , defrost control or defrost heater , or evaporator might need a good vacuum job if has a removable back also cold control , try tapping on the cold control as you might call a thermostat with a butter knife or anything small to tap with and see if you hear a compressor start if it does its bad , could be iced up under panels from bad defrost heater if that's the case unplug over night and see if it cools in the morning if it does its the defrost control or the defrost heater . tapping and vacuuming is first choice

WATER DISPENSER ON GALAXY SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOESN'T WORK
Sounds like if your ice maker is still working, you're having an issue with your filter maybe freezing. Check to make sure your water filter isn't froze. What you're talking about with the overflow is a coincidence, but unless the internal wiring for the unit inside of the dispenser got damaged, i doubt thats the reason why. It's either a frozen filter or bad water valve. Try dethawing the filter or taking it out and seeing how much pressure there is built up in it. There's also a water reservoir in the back of this unit that may be froze too.

Icemaker will not shut off
The ice maker has a pin plug in the back of most model
refrigerators. Disconnect there if nothing works to turn it off. What is the
model number of your refrigerator? Does the ice maker have a shut off arm that
turns the ice maker off, switch or does your model refrigerator have an
electronic eye that turns the ice maker off? Let me know what you find, Thanks Sea Breeze

Freezer freezing and refrigerator freezing
Search round the top/bottom/sides of fridge and freezer for a regulator switch. Usually a small serrated wheel numbered 1-5. It should be set at 2 or 3. Any more and you will freeze up.

Fridge door will not close all the way
two things could be wrong... first and easiest. if the surface where the door comes in contact with the fridge is dirty, it will cause the door to not stick. second, some fridges use magnets in the seal. first clean the surfaces with a good household cleaner... if that doesn't work, find an appliance store and find a new seal.

Does it take 24 hours for a new ice maker to start working
Thats what manuals say but in all honesty no it does not. The icemaker itself has a sensor in it that prevents the icemaker from turning on until the sensor reads 10 degrees F for a period of time. This is a failsafe to prevent the icemaker to fill with water with already standing unfrozen water in it causing an overflow. If your handy enough, remove the icemaker cover, the white square one, and get you a jumper wire and stick it into the holes marked n and m and leave the wire there until you hear a click. Dont shock yourself either. That will bypass the initial setup and the icemaker will start working normally cycling about every 45 miunutes. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

Can a Galaxy model 25368800990
Hello there, if you want to de-activate the auto defrost function on your unit this will require an expert to disable the feature from the control board. Once the feature is disable from the control board then you can use the manual switch which is inside the unit to defrost when you want to. Alternatively if you dont have a defrost button simply you can unplug the unit when you want to defrost it manually. But to cut off auto defrost you have to separate the sensors from the control board and to do this you need an expert to determine the connecting wires and points on the control board.
Hope this support has been helpful?
Thank you for visiting FixYa.
