I have a frigidaire fgbd2438pbbb dishwasher that runs thru the wash cycle then stops and the air dry and high temp light flash. whats wrong?
Based on the symptoms you described, it's likely that there is an issue with the heating element or thermostat in your Frigidaire dishwasher. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the heating element: The heating element is responsible for heating the water during the wash cycle and drying the dishes at the end of the cycle. If the element is faulty, the dishwasher may stop mid-cycle and display the flashing lights you described. Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the heating element. If there is no continuity, the heating element needs to be replaced.
- Check the thermostat: The thermostat is a safety device that prevents the dishwasher from overheating. If the thermostat is faulty, it may shut off the heating element prematurely, causing the dishwasher to stop mid-cycle. Test the thermostat using a multimeter. If it's not functioning properly, it needs to be replaced.
- Check the control board: If the heating element and thermostat are functioning properly, there may be an issue with the dishwasher's control board. A faulty control board can cause various issues, including the flashing lights you described. If this is the case, you may need to replace the control board.
If you're not comfortable performing these troubleshooting steps yourself, it's best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
Dryer Squeak, Tight Drum, Burning Smell
The loud, constant squeak/squeal from your Frigidaire dryer, combined with a burning smell, indicates a serious problem that needs to be addressed. While replacing the drum bearing kit was a good step, it appears that there may be other issues at play.
One possible cause of the squeaking could be a worn or damaged drive belt or idler pulley. If the idler pulley spring came off, it is possible that the belt is not properly tensioned and may be slipping or rubbing against the drum, causing the squeaking noise. Additionally, a slipping belt can generate a burning smell as it heats up from the friction.
Another possible cause of the burning smell could be a malfunctioning heating element, which may be overheating the dryer and causing the burning odor.
It is recommended that you stop using the dryer immediately and unplug it from the power source. It is not safe to continue using a dryer that is producing a burning smell.

I have a Frigidaire Window AC Heater combo the cooling works but the heat does not blow hot?
It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with the heating element on your Frigidaire window AC/Heater combo unit. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the thermostat: Make sure that the thermostat is set to "Heat" and that the temperature is set to a level high enough to activate the heating element.
- Check the air filter: A dirty air filter can restrict airflow and prevent the heating element from functioning properly. Clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
- Check the heating element: The heating element may be faulty and needs to be replaced. Consult the manufacturer's manual or contact the manufacturer's customer service for further assistance.
- Check the blower motor: The blower motor may be malfunctioning and needs to be replaced by a professional technician.
- Check the wiring: Check the wiring and connections, ensure that all the wiring is securely connected and that there is no damage to the wires.
- Check the fuses: Make sure that all the fuses are working properly and that they are not blown or tripped.
Keep in mind that attempting to repair an AC/Heater unit can be dangerous if you are not familiar with the proper procedures and safety precautions. It's best to let a professional technician handle the repair.
If the problem persists, it's recommended to contact the manufacturer's customer service or a professional technician for further assistance. They can inspect the unit and determine the cause of the problem and provide a solution.

My Frigidaire dryer won't run longer than 5 secs what's wrong how can I fix
There could be several issues that could cause your Frigidaire dryer to stop running after just a few seconds. Here are a few potential problems to consider:
- Thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that shuts off the dryer if it overheats. If the fuse has blown, the dryer will not run.
- Clogged dryer vent: If the dryer vent is clogged, it can cause the dryer to overheat, which could trip the thermal fuse.
- Faulty cycling thermostat: The cycling thermostat regulates the dryer's temperature. If it's faulty, the dryer may not run for more than a few seconds.
- Faulty start switch: If the start switch is faulty, it could prevent the dryer from running.
- Faulty door switch: The door switch prevents the dryer from running when the door is open. If the switch is faulty, the dryer may not run.
To fix the problem, you'll need to diagnose which of these issues is causing the problem and then replace the faulty part. I recommend having a mechanic diagnose and fix the problem for you.

My Frigidaire dishwasher has recently started to act up. It starts the wash cycle but doesn't finish it.
Sounds just like my Whirlpool dishwasher. If you have the documentation that came with it look through it for a "reset" method to re-calibrate the dirt sensor in the unit. If you don't have the owners manual try to "Google" an owners manual or a "technicians" manual to find a reset or a re-calibrate procedure. Mine consisted of pressing certain control buttons at the same time, after which the unit ran through a calibration cycle that took about as long as a normal wash, and it has worked great ever since.

Window ac/heater freezes up when using the heater?
This is likely due to a lack of airflow. Make sure that the air filter is clean and that there are no obstructions blocking the air intake or exhaust vents. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to have a technician come out and inspect the unit for any other potential issues.

I have a Frigidaire Dryer and the outside of dryer It was hot to the touch and hadn't been used in couple days ?
f the outside of your Frigidaire dryer is hot to the touch and the heating element appears to be glowing red hot when the knob is not in the off position, it is likely that there is a problem with the dryer's heating element. It could be shorted, burnt, or damaged in some other way.
It is also possible that there is a problem with the dryer's thermostat, which regulates the temperature inside the dryer. If the thermostat is not functioning properly, it could cause the heating element to stay on for too long and overheat the dryer.
It is recommended that you stop using the dryer immediately and unplug it from the power source. It is not safe to continue using a dryer that is overheating or has a malfunctioning heating element. It is best to have a qualified technician inspec

Frigidaire gallery ice maker
Check your filter. When filters get old they can restrict the water enough to cause issues. The cubes start to get smaller and from time to time the ice maker will freeze up.

I have a Frigidaire oven that's does not heat up to high temp.
If your Frigidaire oven is not heating up to the high temperature, there could be a few possible causes:
- The thermostat may be malfunctioning: The thermostat controls the temperature of the oven and if it's not working correctly, it could prevent the oven from reaching the high temperature.
- The heating element may be malfunctioning: If the heating element is not working properly, the oven may not be able to reach the high temperature.
- The control board may be malfunctioning: If the control board is not functioning properly, it may not be sending the correct signals to the heating element or thermostat, preventing the oven from reaching the high temperature.
- The oven may be in a cleaning or self-cleaning cycle: when the oven is in a cleaning cycle, the temperature is raised to a high level to clean the interior of the oven.
- The oven may be in a energy saver mode: some ovens have a energy saver mode that decrease the temperature by a certain degree to save energy.
