The outside cover has to be removed to get access to the internal fuse.

Its the transformer I just had two with the exact same failure . No sound when hitting start just popping the house breaker and blowing the internal fuse. I thought the same as the rest that it was the capacitor because that is usually the suspected component but nope not on the frigidair ffmv164lsa and also on the kenmore 79080323310 made by frigidair with the same parts inside. Same Mag cap and diode same transformer both had a shorted to ground transformer!!

I realize this is 2 years old, but all you do is hold down stop/cancel for 3 seconds. That also turns on child lock.

Microwaves are trapped within the oven cavity and do not enter the area outside of it. Metal reflects microwaves as does the mesh across the oven door. You can buy a strip of adhesive foam of reasonable density from your local hardware store which will serve the purpose.

In my limited experience magnetron failure is common but testing is not easy or safe. Anyone reasonably competent can check that mains power is feeding the primary of the big transformer but unless you have eht test equipment and some training your testing should stop there and hand it over to an accredited repairer. The voltage and current on the high voltage side of the transformer is potentially lethal and far exceeds the capacity of equipment available to the handyman..

the turn table is connected in the wiring with no on and off switch

The only way to stop the beeping is to push the cancel button then immediately open the door. This is the only microwave Ive ever encountered that doesn't stop the beeping when you either open the door or push the cancel button. To make it even more irritating, the beeps are VERY loud and long. You have a shorted door switch or a loose, misaligned, or broken door switch mount. It's probably the top or bottom door switch, not the middle one.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.
