Why unit will not run

Good Morning Friend, I understand your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAZ12HS2A, will not turn on. Please start by cleaning the filter. You can do this easily with the following instructions: The air filter should be checked at least once a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Trapped particles in the filter can build up and cause an accumulation of frost on the cooling coils.
1)Push the vent handle to the Vent Closed position (where applicable). 2)Open the front panel. 3)Grasp the filter by the center and pull up and out. 4)Wash the filter using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse filter thoroughly. Gently shake excess water from the filter. Be sure filter is thoroughly dry before replacing 5)Or instead of washing, you may vacuum the filter clean. Also, be sure your air conditioner is properly grounded. To minimize shock and fire hazards, proper grounding is important. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. Do not run your air conditioner without outside protective cover in place. This could result in mechanical damage within your air conditioner. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug. The power supply cord contains a current device that senses damage to the power cord. To test your power supply cord do the following:
1)Plug in your Air Conditioner. 2)The power supply cord will have TWO buttons on the plug head. Press the TEST button. You will notice a click as the RESET button pops out. 3)Press the RESET button. Again you will notice a click as the button engages. 4)The power supply cord is now supplying electricity to the unit. 4) I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards-

My portable air conditioner won't cool.

First determine if the pump/compressor is working. If not, there's your problem. Needs repair done by a shop. Well, really, only a shop should be repairing Ac units due to certificatios, equipment and EPA refrigerant recovery regulations. Sorry. -Ned_

Hey friend, that's an interesting post!

Based off the information you have provided your air conditioner is continuously shutting off and coming on by itself. It may be an issue with the power source of the appliance, the plug, or the control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend reaching out to a professional to properly diagnose and repair your air conditioner. Best regards-Matt

Why is my air conditioner not blowing cold air

Good Afternoon Friend, I understand that your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC107P1A, comes on with the compressor running, but the air is not cold. First, check to see that the temperature sensing element, located behind air filter, is not touching a cold coil. If it is, straighten the element away from the coil. Secondly, try resetting to a lower temperature. Lastly, the compressor may have shut-off by changing modes. Wait approximately 3 minutes and listen for compressor to restart when set in the COOL mode. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your air conditioner status has changed successfully. AIR CONDIONER COOLES - DOES NOT TAKE OUT THE HUMIDITY

Look at the drain tube that goes between the evaporator side into the condenser side for obstructions if water puddles up on the bottom of the unit. Make sure the inlet air filter isn't plugged up too.

Why does my window ac is set on thermastat but comes on and off to quickly

Hello friend, thanks for the post!

From my understanding your Frigidaire air conditioner is rapidly turning on and off, this could be due to restricted air flow. First, I would check to make sure the air filter is clean because a restricted air filter could cause this problem. Secondly, check to make sure nothing is blocking the air flow like drapes, blinds, or furniture. Lastly, your condenser coil could be dirty or blocked I would make sure if it installed in the window that no bushes or trees are blocking the coil. I hope this helps. -Matt
