Frigidaire window air conditioner LRA157MT1 worked yesterday. Today fan works but it doesn't cool?

unplug it if you can and let it set for 20 minutes, set the temp control where you want it and plug it in, wait a bit and see if it starts cooling. you can confuse these things if you turn it off and on rapidly or change the temp control up and down sporadically. The compressor has to take it's time to kick on after it has been shut off and then on again.

Just purchased a 15000 btu 110 Frigidaire window

window units slide into an outside frame section there is a hose attachment area at the back of the ac unit proper that a hose can be attached to and there should be a section in the frame that allows the hose to be fitted to that ac unit proper the unit should be mounted so that it actually slopes slightly down at the rear so water can collect at that drain point there are adaptors that should have come in the packing box for hose attachment if not, many people use white poly piping or electrical conduit with suitable elbows to collect the water at the hole and pipe it back to the wall into a bucket and the collected water used to water plants and gardens

Brand-new window unit emits musty smell when compressor shuts off

It SHOULD NOT ... (smell in... even in WEST TEXAS). BRAND NEW... Rush on down and get a good NEW one. I would suspect the condensate drip pan is plugged... Common for AC units .. But NEVER in "brand new"... Get that (previously owned (my opinion)) UNIT back from where you bought it ... Trade it in for a CLOSED BOX... and make your sales CLOWN write up why you are returning it. Mold can be quite dangerous!! Carnac the Magnificent

Why isn't my frigidaire heat/air not blowing warm air at all! Model LRA18HMU2

If the blower is not running its likely not setup properly on the tstat. Be sure its setup for electric heat with forced air. Tstat controls the fan If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_092728000e6acb79

There seems to be a electric short cut that is tripping the breaker. The unit works for about 5 minutes and then the breaker trips and the unit stops working.

Sounds like to me that the ac units is drawing too much current for the size of breaker that you, have, check to see if it is on an 15 amp breaker

My frigidaire AC starts cooling fine but stops blowing cold air after few minutes and it does not cool at all. I haved turned it off and re-started it and it does the same thing

The compressor is being prematurely turned off. That explains why the cooling stops after a few moments. Either the thermostat is responsible or the electronics working with the therm are responsible for the anomaly. Freon level is fine because it does cool when compressor is running. U might also want to check the start/run capacitor. That sucker starts the motor and keeps it running after the start. If the run section goes bad the motor will usually stop after it starts.
