Freezer didnot seem to be running. (I was working

That's what timers do when bad, won't let the compressor run when stuck on defrost. Replace it.

Freezer compressor gets hot

Check behind and underneath for dust buildup, sounds like your compressor needs cleaned on the outside, the dust is causing it to overheat and retain condensation, hence the ice buildup. Easy thing to check, good luck.

FKFH21F7HWD Frigidaire upright freezer works great however high temp alarm always going off will silence but will not reset and says all kinds of crazy temperatures like 52 degrees

The same happend to my Asko Cylinda freezer. The temperature values were crazy as you say. I ordered a spare circuit board from a service company and was able to replace myself. This solved the problem. I am an engineer working with industrial service, so was able to do this myself. You may need help from a service guy. The problem seems to be a faulty circuit board. There is probably only one board.

Motor running but not freezing are getting cold

repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician. this is a manual defrost freezer. if the compressor is running and there isn't a frost pattern there is a compressor malfunction. refer to your owners manual and read your warranty information to see what is covered and how long.

We have a Frigidaire freezer that has a working light inside but has stopped freezing. Is there anything we can check to keep from loosing all of the items inside it?

I would check to see if the compressor is running(humming or making a continuous noise). The compressor is in the back of the freezer and approximately the size of a football. If is not running but you do have power, there may be a problem with one or more of these: The compressor The Thermostat The overload, relay, or capacitor The defrost timer The condenser fan motor You might need to call a repairman. You might

Hi. We've got used ("as is") Electrolux Frigidaire

Not sure if u still need help but the first thing I would do is remove the grills on the front and back and vacuum out the fins on the condenser...dust and grime collects here and will cause the unit to overheat and not cool properly....sometimes an air compressor can be used or air in a can for the hard to reach places. Tr this and see what happens...good luck
