repairs should be performed by an authorized servicer. insure that the door is properly closed unplug the unit and perform a continuity check on the door switch. if the door switch is ok reconnect the door switch and plug the unit to the power supply. if the problem still exists then you have a control issue. be sure to call your nearest service center to schedule for a repair. have your model and serial number available.

You may have a thermal switch defective. This is a switch that reacts when temperature is exceeded. Before you undertake repair do the following steps:This problem may be caused by the dryer air filter that filters the lint excaping the dryer .(1) Remove the dryer air filter, clean the lint from the screen , wash the screen in hot water using dish soap, ( this will remove the Fabric Softner also called Fleecy sheet which deposits an invisible film on the mesh screen that can not be detected so easily) . Once you have done a good cleanig of the air filter screen, reinstall it and operate the dryer....(2).if this has not cured your problem then open the top cover of the dryer (using a kitchen knife to trip the cover clips located at the front ) and you will find the thermal swich located near the top of the door edge. Check it with a meter to check continuity (to check it is closed), if it is opened , replace the thermal switch. Good luck and good repairs.

You need to remove the back of the control panel an find the switch wires to run a continuity test. Make sure to unplug the dryer first.

Not real clear on the "beep" sound but the hum is most likely the electric coil on the gas valve. If the unit is functioning properly and there is not smell of gas, the only way to resolve the noise is to replace the gas valve assembly.

just remove the door front panel....the replacement felt is self sticking..........fix the felt with the join at the top........... cheers

-Base on what you said. There is nothing or sharp edge to hold the cloth by the time the drum spin. Looks like when you close the door. The door snap or bite the cloth and hold it still (no moving) and the drum keep spinning and rubbing it at the same spot. That's why it mark a burning line. Same thing like you drive a motorcycle. You apply brake to the front wheel and let the back wheel spin. So it will make a burn line on the ground. Good luck Mai

a switch is a simple make / break operation of the circuit with 2 wires any wire on any terminal will do

Jan, It sounds like you have a few separate issues going on. I would call a qualified repairman.

The dryer needs to be rebuilt, new drum belt and drum rollers to cure this problem.

Many of the washers and dryers that use digital control have door switches. A non-working (damaged) door switch will prevent the appliance from working. Look up online for a manual for your appliance and see what they show for your unit. If you get the diagram on how to dismantle it to replace the switch you can see if you think you can handle that task. Then look online for the parts, and compare the cost with your local suppliers. I just replaced such a switch for a friend. The switch cost locally was $109, but I found a new one online for $45. It took about an hour to change out the old for the new.

Hi I would assume that the heating element has burnt out. These are often not expensive to buy and fairly easy to replace

more likely that you didn't wire the plug correctly take it in to a repair shop for check

Check the fins on the fan impeller. They may be covered in lint or not spinning adequately.
