Fossil JR - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
How do i set the background minutes?
I finally got mine adjusted by pressing the top right button (time) and the "pin" button (bottom left) at the same time. The numbers should start flashing then you can let go of the "pin" button and adjust the time. Hope that helps. Date button works the same way.

Watch battery
Hi Jason, About 70 percent of watches take 377 batteries but there is no way to know until you pop the back off. If you take a picture of the back i can instruct you how to get it off. thank you ! Lisa
How do I remove the back cover of a Fossil JR-8096 (Big Tic) wristwatch?
when you look at the back are there three small rectangular indents evenly spaced on the edge on the back? If so you'll need a special tool for opening waterproof watches. the tool adjusts to fit the three indents then press down as you turn counterclockwise. you can find the tool on amazon.com or your local jewelry store. make sure the gasket is in place and not damaged before screwing the back on. here is a link to the toolhttp://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-Professional-Waterproof-Adjustments-Caseback/dp/B000K3SK0Y.
I HAVE A CHIPPED CRYSTAL
Here is a link to the fossil website's policies on repair. http://www.fossilcanada.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContentView?langId=-1&storeId=32563&catalogId=20509&page=warrantyRepairs
If your watch is not in warranty you may have to pay for the repair. Send your watch to fossil at the address listed on their website and follow their guidelines by including a description of the problem and other necessary information.
For a solution that may be faster, you could try taking the watch to a local jeweler to see they can repair it. This is unlikely though, because the may not have the crystal to repair it.That is worth a try though. At the very worst, you will have to send the watch to fossil for a repair.
If need new glass front??
you can go to fossil.com and they have a repair site for like thirty bucks you can pay to have any parts repaired guess thats what i will have to do to get a replacement band for my own.
Unable to replace the back
Thank you for contacting FixYa.
This can be tricky. You may need to take to a store that has a watch press for replacing backs. Square watches are particularly tricky. I hope you were pushing the back on by pressing on sides of watch and not center as this may have warped it to not fit.
Best bet is a local repair.
Sorry.

I have a jr 8122
this happens a lot the watch you have has to separate batteries both batteries were probably old. they tried replacing both but the movement on the analog part is probably corroded or rusty.
I changed the battery in my Fossil ladies watch
mcdevito75 here, Look for a small watcg repir shop in your area. It could be the mechanism is going bad. If you changed the battery for this problem and you have the same problem, then the quartz is ging bad, (the mechanism)
